Job Description

As the Senior Analyst of Treasury focused on the cash sweep program at LPL Financial, you will play a crucial role in supporting a wide spectrum of work within our treasury function. This will include supporting our cash sweep program with regular program execution, scenario analysis, reviewing bank and vendor contracts, and providing actionable intelligence to support strategic decision-making.

In addition, you may be responsible for supporting the 15c3-3 reserve calculation, designing, executing and reviewing SOX controls, supporting internal and external control reviews and audits, and supporting our bank counterparty risk assessments. Your responsibilities have a wide scope and will look like:

Responsibilities

1.Cash Deposit Sweep: Support cash deposit sweep operations, optimizing cash utilization while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Monitor fed related news for the treasury department in an accessible way; including fed governor speaking engagements, market expectations for fed fund meetings, history and futures on FFE. Support reporting for the rate setting committee. Ask provocative questions, and drive colleagues to consider new questions.

2.Reporting and Intelligence: Prepare and deliver actionable intelligence reports to management, providing insights into treasury performance, risks, and opportunities.

You will have opportunities to produce and review reports in Tableau, Power BI, and excel. Analysis and reporting will include:

  • Cash Sweep yield reporting; in aggregate and segmented

  • Cash sweep yield expectations; (i) aggregate, (ii)incremental impact, and (iii) scenarios

  • Contract pipeline reporting

  • Contract capacity, terms, and maturation reporting

  • Peer benchmarking for the cash sweep program

  • Market monitoring and reporting of macro-economic news and interest rate expectations

  • Ad hoc reporting needs for investor relations, quarterly earnings, and management inquiries and meetings

3.Cash Sweep Contract Review & Bank Party Liaison: Review and inventory contracts with financial institutions for deposit sweep services, aiming to inform decision makers with detailed data on terms, clauses, and critical dates.

Represent LPL in meetings with sweep banks and sweep engaged institutions. Maintain a file of all contract terms and become the go-to resource for our cash sweep program.

4.Bank Counterparty Risk Assessment Support: Quickly come up to speed on our quarterly and daily bank counterparty risk assessment processes.

Establish a calendar of regular deliverables and ownership/accountability assignments. Perform enhanced diligence (deep dive) on watchlist banks. Make exposure and relationship recommendations to senior leaders.

5.15c3-3 Reserve Calculation: Support the preparation and calculation of the 15c3-3 reserve requirements where requested, ensuring accurate and timely compliance with regulatory standards.

6.SOX Controls: Support SOX controls related to treasury where requested, ensuring strict adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.

7.Internal and External Audits: Coordinate and support internal audits of treasury processes and collaborate with external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process and timely resolution of any audit findings.

8.Charters, committees, procedures: Support our advancement in the rigor of documentation and governance through procedural documentation, team charters, role charters, governance charters, and committee structure, charters, and materials

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field.

  • Great analytical, communication, and presentation abilities

Pay Range:

$79,200-$118,800/year

Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
