JOB SUMMARY

The Sr. Analyst, Supply Chain Analytics is responsible for developing reporting and analyzing supply chain performance. The successful candidate will understand and interpret data, enabling supply chain decision making to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. The candidate will provide decision support and counsel by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data, to support the overall strategic and operating plans of Advance Auto Parts and its supply chain. This individual contributor will be an excellent collaborator with our partners in DC Operations, Inventory Planning, Finance, Merchandising, and Sales, as well as a critical thinker and great communicator (both written and verbal). Data-driven decision-making and a technical skillset are key to this role.

Responsibilities

  • Create, plan, and publish relevant supply chain metrics and reporting to provide data visibility and support business needs

  • Create, plan, and publish relevant supply chain metrics proposals for streamlining data flows developing scorecards efficiently

  • Develop and manage initiatives and solutions to drive improvements in data and metrics visibility across the supply chain and AAP's end-to-end business. Optimize data flow.

  • Evaluate, validate, and automate reports for operations management. Provide appropriate input into test design to ensure data integrity for investment decision purpose.

  • Prepare AdHoc analysis focusing on process optimization and cost reduction

  • Provide root cause driver analysis to support decision-making by effectively communicating and translating data and results into business insights and actions. Pareto key drivers for service promise misses

  • Communicate and present recommendations to all levels of staff and management regarding detailed implementation plans for metrics and scorecards, including automation

  • Work with all Distribution Center locations, corporate and cross functional teams to ensure process changes are successfully implemented.

  • Continuously work to create efficiencies and improvements within reporting, procedures, scheduling processes

  • Create documentation / Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all process work.

Hybrid

  • Monday

  • Friday (8:00AM - 5:00PM) (Additional Hours are based on business needs)

Salary: 70K - 90K

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong technical skill in R or Python, and SQL, Power BI, Microsoft Excel and AS400

  • Experience with reporting solutions and data mining in relational databases

  • Experience in combining data from various sources together to produce cross-functional analytics

  • Strong analytical skills in assessing business processes, systems, and information flows, as well as compiling and assessing data

  • Understanding of key supply chain metrics and their drivers

  • Knowledge of supply chain and/or planning, inventory, DC operations, and transportation

  • Effective communication and collaboration with all levels of the organization

  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Customer-oriented focus and ability to work in cross-functional teams

  • Ability to resolve high profile issues

  • Ability to operate in a complex, rapidly changing environment while adhering to schedules

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring timely and accurate completion of each; outcome-focused and experienced in project management as a means to plan, track, communicate progress and ensure on time delivery of projects.

  • Some travel (< 50%; North America) (2 weeks out of the month travel time)

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Business, or related area

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience in analytics (supply chain or retail preferred)
