About the Role & Team:

The Disneyland Resort Revenue Management & Analytics/Finance organization combines strategic and analytical thinking to drive commercial, financial, and operational value for Disney Parks by shaping business decisions in Ticketing, Resorts, Merchandise, Food & Beverage, as well as all other lines of business in the core proficiencies of yield management, forecasting, pricing, promotions, optimization, and other predictive analytic techniques using mathematical and statistical approaches!

We are seeking someone who is results oriented, able to prioritize, and be a great teammate in a collaborative environment. The candidate will have strong communication, partnering, and proven experience with statistical/data science modeling, data visualization, and data manipulation.

What You Will Do:

  • Be curiosity driven; seek out business anomalies and patterns leveraging analytical tools and knowledge to shed light and gain understanding of the business to bolster strategies and initiatives
  • Predictive Analytics
  • Hands-on contributor/developer of mathematical, statistical, and other complex models to drive insights, determine continuous improvement opportunities, and help inform strategic business decisions
  • Data Visualization
  • Leverage data visualization techniques, tools, and communication skills to present complex analytical findings in clear business terms that facilitate acceptance, decision-making, and execution by business partners and senior executives
  • Business Optimization
  • Evaluate key business drivers to measure the success of commercial, financial, and operational decisions; and develop science-based approaches to help achieve business objectives and drive long-term strategic direction
  • Partner Collaboration
  • Develop and manage relationships with Marketing, Consumer Insights (CIMA), Legal, and Sales to communicate performance, drive new initiatives, identify business impacts and strategic opportunities, and help translate complex challenges into digestible business takeaways

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Two plus years of work experience in statistical, business analytics, data science, and/or strategy development

  • Proficiency in acquiring, organizing, cleansing, and manipulating large amounts of data, sophisticated skills in Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and demonstrated experience in one or more scripting languages (SQL, python, etc)

  • Proven ability for storytelling through data, e.g. large scale data integration and data visualization to facilitate acceptance and execution among leaders - professional experience with one or more data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc)

  • Experience using statistical modeling, optimization, or data science techniques to inform and driven business decisions and to inform new methodologies to steer strategy - hands-on experience with one or more modeling tools (R, python, etc)

  • Proven track record with analytical problem-solving, creative thinking, and partnering skills

  • Strategic approach, e.g. seeks out opportunities for course-correction and has the ability to influence organizational decisions on broader ideas and objectives

  • Ability to meet deadlines, balance multiple priorities, and perform job responsibilities accurately with minimal direction

  • Sense of responsibility, ownership, and pride in delivering quality results and understanding the business impact

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five plus years of work experience in statistical, business analytics, data science, and/or strategy development

  • Prior experience with pricing, revenue management, and/or forecasting

  • Understanding of revenue management concepts (e.g., dilution, displacement)

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, or other quantitative fields

  • Master's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, or other quantitative fields preferred

The hiring range for this position in California is $101,800 to $124,400 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
