Overview and Responsibilities

As part of Nickelodeon Research, the Retail & Market Analytics team supports Consumer Products across all Nickelodeon brands (SpongeBob, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Dora, etc.). This role works closely with retail sales and lines of business teams, as well as key constituents across the broader organization. Candidates should have a passion for data and detailed report execution. This Sr. Analyst position is based in Minneapolis, MN.

Overall Responsibilities

  • Track POS data for key retailers to inform of Nickelodeon Consumer Product performance

  • Dialogue with Retail teams on product launches, placement, timing and related promotions

  • Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports

  • Become an industry expert on retailers assigned (e.g. CPG, Home), showing an understanding of retailer strategy, category trends, and opportunities etc.

  • Combine diverse data sources (syndicated data, proprietary data, primary data, etc.) into actionable and digestible insights that help drive sales

  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights to key stakeholders regarding consumers, their behaviors and the competitive landscape

  • Concisely summarize data to create compelling analyses and engaging presentations

  • Work with Operations Team and/or vendors to check for data accuracy and quality

  • Continually assist with optimizing the data management and reporting processes, implementing changes where applicable

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting data and presenting findings to senior thought leaders

  • Strong aptitude for working with large sets of quantitative data and extracting relevant points

Additional Qualifications

  • Must be able to build relationships and work well with others to deliver results

  • Must be a strong communicator and organized

  • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint

  • Knowledge of syndicated services such as Nielsen AOD, and/or IRI Unify preferred

  • Experience with COGNOS, Microstrategy, Tableau, and other business analytics tools a plus

  • Must work well under pressure and be able to meet multiple deadlines simultaneously

  • Ability to contribute to a strong team environment with positive input as a team player

  • Self-starter who is energetic, enthusiastic, adaptable, and customer-oriented

Among the principle duties and responsibilities include: * Providing data, information collection, and analytical support, and managing delivery of special projects (e.g., create project plans, organize meetings, collect status updates, etc.) * Proactively identifying solutions that may provide benefit across the Legal Affairs business unit and other related functions * Coordinating and enhancing collaboration for reporting and information services spanning multiple Legal Affairs business unit teams and other related functions, including to conduct analysis on current and new projects * Prioritizing Legal Affairs reporting projects among partners within Target's centralized data and business intelligence function while also influencing peer group priorities * Being a subject-matter expert on and demonstrate leadership in data management and information services for the Legal Affairs business unit Job duties may change at any time due to business needs.
