SUMMARY:

The Organizational Change Management Senior Analyst is responsible for collaborating with business, project and Organizational Change Management Lead(s) and team members to support efforts with business leaders and end users through business process, systems and technology. In this role, the Senior Analyst operates as an internal consultant to IS project teams, to provide input to impact assessments and support change management activities with the goal to maximize change adoption/usage and minimize resistance.

The Organizational Change Management Senior Analyst will collaborate with the Organizational Change Management Lead(s), project team members and Business Process Owners to support organizational change management plans, activities and materials. Candidates for this position must have demonstrated proficiency in one or more of the following areas: organizational change management, audience assessment/stakeholder identification/management, communication planning/content development and editing, training need analysis and training program design, end user training material development/editing, sponsorship and business leader coaching, coaching and mentoring of TEAM members and project teams.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in a business discipline, Organizational Development, Communication, Training, or other related area. Equivalent work experience may be acceptable. Certification in an organizational change management methodology is a plus (ADKAR, Kotter, or internal organizational change management methodology.) Project management certification would also be a plus.

EXPERIENCE:
2+ years' experience, prefer 4+ years of experience with responsibility for leading efforts or teams in organizational change management, or related area (training, communications) on large or complex process, technology or organizational change projects (mergers/acquisitions, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects, organization realignments.) Previous experience as internal or external consultant working within all levels of the organization, including executives and business leaders. Working knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools (Prosci, Kotter, etc).

COMPUTER SKILLS:

Microsoft Office suite including PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including active listening, facilitation and presentation skills. Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences.

Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships and work effectively at all levels of the organization. Ability to adjust to different styles. Ability to influence others and move toward common vision without formal authority.

SCOPE DATA: Responsible for supporting project teams and business functions successfully through process and technology changes associate with new solutions implemented by the company.

This includes, but is not limited to, using tools and principles to prepare and provide input on audience assessment, communications strategy planning and execution, communications channel analysis, training requirements, training design and development, sponsorship coaching and training A key to success for this role is developing and maintain relationships with business process owners, project team and OCM team members. Senior organizational change management analysts work with project team leaders, sharing information, identifying and raising issues and concerns, and mentoring project team members including organizational change team members. The ideal candidate would be comfortable managing a variety of projects and working under tight deadlines.

VIEW JOBS 1/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-18T00:00 Job Description This position is posted as a range: Pay grade and title will be based on the experience and qualifications of the individual selected.* Perform skilled work in a safe manner necessary to operate and maintain electric generating units composed of gas turbines, generators, transformers, pumps, compressors, switchyard and related auxiliary equipment. Operate the plant in startup, shutdown, and normal steady state mode. Direct the work of outside operators, support personnel and contractors. Participate and direct others in development of operating procedures for normal operating conditions. Perform skilled work in the checking, inspecting, repair, maintenance, installation and construction of plant equipment and structures. Perform and direct others in the troubleshooting of routine problems. Perform technical and skilled work in conjunction with troubleshooting of electrical and electronic systems, digital control systems, communication systems, instruments and control systems, computers and computer networks, annunciator systems and recorders. Perform technical work in chemical analysis, industrial hygiene and environmental testing and calculations related to the operating efficiency of power plant equipment. Conduct tests, surveys and layout work on plant projects. Communicate and coordinate activities affecting safe and efficient operation of plant in an often distracting and multitasking environment. Prepare written reports on unit conditions and operations. Provide effective interaction with Production Optimization Group. Demonstrate ability to work with others at all levels. Start-up, operate, control, synchronize and shutdown turbines, generators, exciters, transformers, switchyard and auxiliary equipment safely and efficiently. Operate equipment from the control room and remote locations as needed. Take appropriate actions in the event of abnormal plant equipment conditions and in accordance with plant guidelines for out-of-spec parameters. Monitor controlling, indicating and recording devices, compare results with established standards and make adjustments as required to operating conditions. Instruct others in proper equipment checks and operation to ensure safe and efficient operations of the plant. Enter and review data in the logbook. Communicate with corporate Production Optimization Group (POG) to obtain dispatch orders, confirm status and abnormal conditions. Regulate the unit(s) output in accordance with requirements and plant conditions. Monitor, inspect, install, remove, test, adjust, calibrate, troubleshoot and repair electrical, electronic, instrumentation and plant controls systems and components. Conduct electrical system interlock and circuit breaker trip checks to determine proper operational performance. Assist in interlock tests and functional tests on control systems, relays and instrumentation. Perform control system monitoring and program simple modifications using a computer interface terminal. Use elementary, schematics, wiring and controls diagrams to locate, troubleshoot and repair control systems involving electrical, mechanical, pneumatic or hydraulic components. Use electrical and instrumentation test equipment to troubleshoot and calibrate plant equipment. Perform mechanical maintenance work including equipment alignment and rebuilds and the use of machine shop, portable machining equipment and demonstrate knowledge of mechanical precision tool usages. Repair rotating equipment, valves, actuators, piping, etc. Perform and instruct predictive and preventive maintenance work by inspecting, monitoring, lubricating, and testing plant equipment to determine conditions such as wear, corrosion and deposits. Perform inspections and corrective maintenance activities on plant equipment and components. Conduct chemical tests and inspections to ensure proper operation of the plant. Maintain tools, equipment and work areas in clean and orderly fashion. Assist in developing predictive maintenance schedule and plan activities. Use work management systems to initiate, retrieve and update work orders, material requests, PM's and time entry, etc. Use various computer applications and software programs such as Digital Control System (DCS), Power Generating Availability Data System ( P-GADS), Transmission and Plant Information System (TAPIS), and Plant Information System (PI), etc. to extract data, analyze trends and report status to ensure plant reliability and efficiency. Produce, revise and maintain records, technical reports, procedures and plant drawings as required. Conduct investigations and make calculations utilizing DCS, PI, etc. to improve the plant reliability and efficiency. Prepare required drawings/layouts on projects such as new construction, revisions to existing facilities and all types of power plant equipment. Operate, monitor, maintain and calibrate environmental and industrial hygiene equipment such as Continuous Emission Monitoring, noise and gas detection devices, etc. in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Collect and analyze air, gas, water and chemicals samples. Must be proficient in hazardous material recognition, handling and disposal. Direct and assist the work of assigned employees and contractors as required. Provide direct operational instructions and guidance to others. Conduct Job Safety Analysis, utilize Job Hazard Analysis and Material Safety Data Sheets, etc. and follow established plant and company guidelines in job briefings. Work under general direction of Operations & Maintenance Technician Senior, as well as plant supervision. Must be capable of performing the Issuing Authority duties, Initiate clearance permits, isolate plant equipment and remove all stored energy in accordance with AEP Clearance Permit Procedure. Initiate permits for hot work and confined space in accordance with AEP policies and procedures. Respond to emergency situations, assist in maintaining plant security and maintain proficiency in incipient fire fighting, first aid and CPR. Understand and adhere to all Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plan and emergency response programs. Perform work as identified in the Managing Environmental, Safety and Health (MESH) process and document safety and health near misses, incidents and accidents and environmental hazards in accordance with AEP policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations and AEP policies, procedures, standards and specifications. Attend and actively participate in environmental, safety and health, technical, business and leadership training and meetings. Share knowledge; train and mentor other employees.
