National Grid is hiring an Instrumentation & Regulation Gas Analyst reporting to Upstate New York.

Qualified employee will support and assist the Upstate New York Instrumentation and Regulation department in various types of tasks that will help maintain a safe and efficient field and office environment.
Aid in ordering specialty equipment and materials required to operate and maintain National Grid's Gas Regulating Stations, Pipelines, and Large Meter Assemblies.
Initiate and manage a critical spare equipment program that will allow for emergent materials to be dispersed and replenished.
Assist supervisors with managing, reviewing, and organizing critical mandated documents. Documents are maintained on paper as well as within multiple databases.
Assist with supervisor duties when supervisors are on vacation/out of office.
Aid in work preparation, work scheduling, and reporting on completed work for the field crews.
Assist I&R field trainers with tracking employees' requirements for work eligibility.
Track and manage work procedure changes. Visit crew locations to roll out updates and/or new procedures.
Help manage field equipment calibration requirements and manage the repairs of broken equipment when required.
Help field employees manage changes to new software and field devices.
Help manage asset data quality within existing and new I&R databases.
Must have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, be able to perform in a team environment, collaborate with others, handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including active listening and presentation experience.
Proficient knowledge of computers and various business-related software.
Knowledge of the natural gas industry and associated equipment is a plus.
Knowledge of I&R's processes, documentation, and compliance requirements is a plus.
Valid driver's license required with a safe driving history.
