ROLE: Desktop Analyst

  • Requires detailed knowledge of PC hardware, Operating systems, network configuration, server interaction, diagnostics and troubleshooting.

  • Replaces and rebuilds hardware components as needed.

  • Fixes basic routine issues.

  • Installs/removes/configures basic applications.

  • Typically is a college/university graduate or has equivalent experience

  • Has basic knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in a job family or skill

  • Applies knowledge and skills to complete own work

  • Depends on others for instruction, guidance and direction

  • Develops competence in own area by performing routine work

Job Family/Major Accountabilities:

  • Requires working knowledge of infrastructure technology.

  • Coordinates the fulfillment of detailed service requests and assists in the resolution of advanced problems in high availability environment.

  • Requires working knowledge of: all hardware, hardware build, configuration, compatibility, upgrades, diagnostics and troubleshooting, and desktop based security methodologies.

  • Requires troubleshooting capabilities of the operating systems, and OS modifications.

  • May install and configures non-standard and legacy applications.

  • May assist with the resolution of advanced issues.


Two year degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Typically would work on or coordinate projects of moderate size and organizational span. Projects would typically have low to moderate budget impact.

  • Proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs.

  • Proficient PC skills; including working knowledge.

  • Thorough knowledge of business unit's functions and applications.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.

  • Understanding of project management theory and team dynamics.

  • Proven ability to effectively collaborate with others, initiate action, and adapt to change

Knowledge/Skills Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Experience supporting multi-platform environments including the following: Windows 7/10 Professional, Microsoft Office Professional Suite, Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Visual Basic, Citrix Access Gateway, Symantec AV suite, and Altiris.

  • Good understanding of the following hardware and network topologies/protocols: HP and Dell desktops, laptops, network hubs, Ethernet and TCP/IP protocol

  • Individual may participate in a rotating primary support role. This includes after hour and weekend support as required

  • Periodic travel to support business initiatives is required.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Client Support Specialist Job Summary: The Client Support Specialist primary responsibility is to ensure client satisfaction by responding to client inquiries in an efficient, timely, and a well communicated manner. Position reports to: Manager, Client Support Services Responsibilities: * Serve as the daily point of contact for a group of clients as it relates to minor account issues. * Promptly respond to all client inquiries. * Liaise with the Client Relations Manager and/or Department Managers as necessary to address client inquiries. * Process client requests to add additional information to an account such as insurance or patient demographic information or edit existing information. * Assist Client Relations Managers in resolving client account issues by researching and or obtaining necessary documentation from internal or external resources. * Meet routine deadlines and work schedules as well as timely and accurate completion of special projects and any other duties as assigned. * Responsible for ensuring all assigned tasks are performed in a timely and accurate manner according the Intermedix policy and guidelines. * Dedicated to answering and responding to daily inquiries and requests from the client * Assist team members with various processing and billing tasks as needed. * Assist senior management in identifying and implementing efficient processing methods and procedures. * Special projects as assigned by senior management manager. * Other duties as assigned. * Compliance with Intermedix policies Location: 825 Tech Center Drive, Suite 200 Gahanna, OH 40223 Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * 1 year of related experience * Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Skills/ Knowledge Requirements: * Medical billing and/or client service experience preferred, but not required * Medical billing experience is preferred – EMS billing favored. * Data Entry skills a plus. * Financial, accounting, or accounts receivable experience a plus. * Able to manage multiple concurrent tasks * Flexible to handle unexpected daily challenges * Very strong written and verbal communication skills * Able to type a minimum of 45 words per minute * Able to use a 10 key by touch * Microsoft Office – Excel and Word. * Ability to work with various different websites in order to obtain necessary information to resolve client issues. * Ability to adapt in using multiple different software programs to facilitate daily work load.
