About the role:

The Senior Analyst, Global Compliance Investigations conducts confidential internal investigations into potential violations of the Code of Conduct and other company policies (e.g. quality matters, conflicts of interest, patient/customer interactions, and sales/marketing practices). The ideal candidate will have (1) legal, compliance, and/or accounting experience, (2) prior investigative experience, (3) strong analytical and project management skills, (4) verbal and written communication skills well-suited for investigative work, and (5) prior experience with the laws and regulations applicable to the medical device industry. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate an appreciation for his/her role in upholding Boston Scientific's commitment to integrity, product quality, and patient safety.

Locations: Will consider candidates in Marlborough MA, or Maple Grove MN.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Execute internal investigations both in the U.S. and international from start to finish with moderate oversight.

  • Investigative tasks include: creating investigative workplans, setting investigation timelines, communicating with key stakeholders in the investigations, gathering and analyzing data, conducting interviews, drafting reports and documenting investigative findings, and recommending corrective action.

  • Strategize with the Global Compliance Investigations Team and other Global Compliance functions to identify and recommend modifications to Boston Scientific policies and/or trainings as a result of investigation findings.

  • Work with the Global Compliance Investigations Team to develop team goals, foster best-practices, and maximize the team's overall efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Maintain a high degree of interest in professional development. Attend relevant compliance and investigations training sessions and conferences and maintain ongoing professional credentials (e.g. CPA, J.D., etc.). Maintain a strong understanding of Boston Scientific's business areas, regions and/or functions relevant to the compliance program and compliance risks.

  • Cultivate internal relationships and develop an external network of resources to facilitate completion of tasks.

What we're looking for:

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 6+ years of experience in the compliance, legal, and/or forensic accounting/auditing field.

  • Strong educational credentials with an advanced degree preferred (such as a JD, MS, Accounting degree, CPA and/or CFE).

  • Sound judgment and strong analytical and critical thinking skills, as well as a commitment to accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees.

  • Ability to work with large amounts of data to analyze information while still seeing the "big picture."

  • Excellent project management skills and the ability to organize and prioritize many investigations at the same time.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, interviewing, presentation, influencing, negotiation and mediation skills.

  • Sound judgment and the confidence to handle difficult conversations, pressures and deadlines.

  • Results oriented with a willingness to get the job done and manage time effectively.

  • Ability to travel between 0% - 10% of the job.

  • Fully engaged and self-starting. Possess a high energy level and strong work ethic with a commitment to continuous improvement in a dynamic environment that strives to exceed expectations. Demonstrated ability/experience in an environment of change and continuous improvement.

The Global Compliance Communications and Training Team is reinventing what it means to communicate with stakeholders around the world. Your responsibilities include: * Implementing and enhancing components of a comprehensive compliance training and communications program for Global Compliance. * Creating, supporting and executing innovative and engaging training and education solutions, resources and/or tools in support of the Global Compliance training strategy and in response to identified curriculum needs and at management's direction. * Scoping, planning, and executing projects that support the development or enhancement of Global Compliance training and communications program that may cross multiple regions, business units, and/or functions with minimal supervision, ensuring performance goals and timelines are met. * Tracking, archiving and analyzing training records, including relating to work in support of legal filings by Boston Scientific to regulatory bodies. * Conducting and analyzing training assignment needs and maintain records that properly reflect training assignment criteria.
