Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Compensation, the position reviews compensation proposals, provides recommendation, supports and assists in the development, implementation, and administration of compensation programs for Union, Non-union and Salary employees to ensure effectiveness and compliance for North America.Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains, supports, and provides recommendations regarding the implementation and administration of compensation programs and systems intended to align total cash compensation with business objectives.
Conducts analysis of jobs, salaries, and incentives in order to evaluate internal equity, external competitiveness, and legal compliance of pay practices.
Performs internal and external market studies and recommend salary ranges and/or adjustments.
Analyzes new jobs and recommend new grades based on Market data and internal equity.
Reviews new company salary administration and incentive plans and assist in the administration of the annual merit review process.
Tracks States minimum wages increases and apply related increases to Union employees based on their seniority.
Proposes wage increase for Union employees based on state minimum wage and market data and estimates annual cost for increases.
Reviews compensation proposals for position requisitions and salary adjustment proposals to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness
Maintains job description database to ensure all current job descriptions are updated and posted in OPEX portal and field HR share drive
Updates and reviews compensation data in global compensation system
Develops reports and reporting mechanisms to meet broad-based information needs including metrics, analysis, and audit purposes.
Recommends FLSA and EEO classification for new and current positions
Performs audits for conformance to company structure and legal compliance
Provides guidance to the HR business partners for compensation policies and processes
Plays active role in compensation data integration between merged or acquired companies
Conducts and participates in compensation surveys
Performs centralized data entry in payroll system for non-represented employees
Provides analysis and supports to the HR team for projects and tasks as required
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree from a four year college or university required.
Some coursework in human resource management desired
Work Experience:
5 to 7 years' experience of compensation analysis required
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
Strong analytical skills
Excellent excel spreadsheet skills
Knowledge of information technology and compensation best practices
Language / Communication Skills:
Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
Proven teamwork - with ability to work with team members across all corporate functions
Ability to interact effectively with all levels and operation units of the organization
Attention to detail and ability to provide fast turnaround when needed
Excellent communication skills - correspondence to internal and external customers
Ability to communicate effectively with individuals possessing varying degrees of technical and functional knowledge
