Position Objective:

The Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics at Porsche Financial Services, Inc. (PFS) is part of the business unit Digital Transformation & Data Analytics and represents the interface between IT and business operations. This role will drive analytical thought process and make significant contribution to analytical processes, developments, and transformation of new and legacy algorithms. The ideal candidate will have extensive and hands on experience in data querying, analytical programming, and statistical programming.. Experience in building end-to-end analytical solutions including hypothesis creation, data cleaning, data analysis, algorithm building, insights reporting, scalability, and automation. This position reports to the Manager, Data Intelligence & Advanced Analytics.

The Senior Analyst will work with all PFS and PFSC departments and various departments/business entities within Porsche including the following: Porsche AG, Porsche Cars North America (PCNA), Porsche Cars Canada (PCL), Porsche Financial Services Germany (PFSD), Porsche Consulting, Mieschke Hofmann und Partner (MHP), Porsche Digital, and the Exclusive Brands (Bentley, Lamborghini, and Bugatti).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support end-to-end analytics and modeling solutions to support internal business unit requirements

  • Provide analytical support to drive optimization and business strategies for all departments.

  • Collaborate with data integration roles and IT to properly maintain and enhance the local operational reporting systems and database

  • Support the Vice President and Manager in implementing the data strategy with the goal of transforming PFS to a data-driven company

  • Support the Manager in make or buy decisions in the context of algorithm or data driven projects and related vendor model evaluation and integration

  • Support data operations as needed on reporting and query questions and assist with data gathering, extracts, and report development for internal/external clients

  • Enhance the availability, integrity, and usability of the PFS central business data warehouse while considering internal data governance policies

  • Work with third party software providers on various data management projects including system conversions and data imports and extracts

  • Collaborate with the PFS group to further develop and maintain the analytic software suite and establish solid change processes based on best practices

  • Participation in regular IT and Data Governance meetings to ensure compliance of the central business warehouse with external and internal regulation

  • Recommend and implement improvements for reports, reporting processes and reporting systems

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g. Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Economics) required or may be substituted by 4 additional years of relevant experience

  • Master's degree in relevant field or 2 additional years of relevant experience is preferred

Experience (Job and Industry):

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in analytics and/or data modelling

  • Experience within Captive Finance Company finance area is a plus

  • Experience with enterprise database technologies

  • Experience with data integration technologies

  • Experience leading projects of various sizes

  • Experience in the Automotive or Banking Industry is a plus

  • Experience with audit execution and/or audit response is a plus

  • Experience in developing dashboards and reports in BI Tools is a plus

Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency with one or more statistical programming languages such as R or Python

  • Advanced project management and time management skills including the ability to prioritize and contribute to multiple assignments simultaneously, setting clear goals, and managing (internal) customer expectations

  • Ability to communicate outcomes of analytic solutions to non-technical audiences

  • Demonstrated strategic and analytical skills

  • Demonstrated influence and negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated business and financial acumen

  • Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and to manage the communication flow accordingly

  • German language skills are a plus

Percentage of required travel: Less than 25%

Physical requirements

Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must be able to move about in the office to access office equipment, etc. Must be able to communicate and exchange information verbally with management and co-workers.

Work environment

This position operates in an office environment. This role will use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, scanners, etc.
