I. Job Summary:
This position supports general ledger accounting, and is responsible for the preparation of journal entries, account analysis, and variance analysis resulting in timely and accurate financial information.
II. Duties and Responsibilities:
a. Execution of monthly and quarterly close, ensuring accurate results are delivered on time for reporting in accordance with GAAP
b. Perform assigned journals, accounts reconciliation and fluxes
c. Help lead the implementation of best practices to simplify, standardize and scale our business
d. Work cross functionally with technical accounting, Finance, Legal, AP, Payroll, FP&A, Tax and various business owners on policies, processes, and help drive key system initiatives and improvements
e. Mentor, teach and review the work of other supporting members of the accounting team
f. Other responsibilities include but not limited to participate in special projects, system enhancements or ad hoc analyses as assigned
III. Qualification Requirements:
a. B.S. or above degree in Accounting
b. 2-5+ year experience
c. Experience in a large Public Accounting firm or with a publicly traded company
d. CPA preferred
e. Experience with major ERP system required
f. Strong communication skills
g. Excellent time and self-management skills, ability to prioritize and multitask to meet deadlines required
a. Computer Skills:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and be comfortable with extremely large data volume
b. This position does not supervise anyone
