Job Description

As a Sr. Advisor - Principal Gifts, you will play a critical role in our fundraising efforts. You'll be responsible for prospect qualification, cultivation, and solicitation of complex gifts and major outright gifts. Your work will directly contribute to our mission's success. Develops, implements, and manages fundraising and awareness strategies designed to successfully achieve priorities such as building advisory councils, high-value volunteer committees, giving circles, and venture capital and other skills-based volunteerism. Develops and executes short- and long-term relationship strategies regarding key financial individuals and/or corporations, and foundations that includes on-going strategies for engagement including a targeted dollar and deliverable goals for their support. Responsible for ongoing contacts with at least 200 high-potential individuals and/or corporations. Collaborates across organization to facilitate transformational giving and volunteerism opportunities within the St. Jude mission.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high-potential individuals and corporations.

• Develop and implement fundraising and awareness strategies.

• Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate transformational giving opportunities.

• Execute short- and long-term relationship strategies.

• Engage key financial stakeholders and foundations.

Essential Qualifications

• Successful track record securing 7-8 figure principal gifts.

• Ability to prospect and move donors through the moves management process.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Extensive knowledge of development practices and principles.

• Flexibility for national travel when necessary.

• Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) with 8+ years of professional experience.
