The SeniorAdministrative Services Assistant serves a key role for the College of Law in areas related to student enrollment, grades, registration, records, course management, room scheduling and data reporting.

Position Responsibilities:

Primarily responsible for most registrar-related functions for the College of Law including creating courses in Banner, managing the student course registration process, performing graduation audits and degree conferrals, counseling students on graduation requirements and ensuring proper creation and maintenance of student records.

Other responsibilities include: overseeing the administrative functions of the College of Law Records Office including student course registration, grade entry and degree conferral; supervising student office workers; working with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs on course scheduling; completing and notarizing bar application forms for students and graduates; and providing support to the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs and Director of Diversity & Inclusion in the performance of his/her duties.

Required Experience and Education:

At least three years of progressively responsible administrative, customer service, problem-solving and computer experience. High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Experience and Education:

Working knowledge of Banner, and Argos. Familiarity with University of Tennessee academic policies and procedures, FERPA, and record retention policies. Administrative experience in a law school setting. Experience working with graduate students. Bachelor's Degree or higher strongly preferred.

  • Knowledge of database and spreadsheet applications.
