The level of position will depend upon the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
The purpose of the position is to provide accurate and effective administrative support to PDO Business Partners within the group, and coordinate administrative duties with other Administrative Associates to provide seamless support for the group.
General office responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide timely, accurate and effective administrative support to PDO Business Partners.
Maintain multiple calendars; plan, schedule and coordinate teleconferences, travel, onsite/offsite meetings; process payments and expense reports; and utilize PC and software applications.
Address problems and develop practical, thorough and creative solutions without relying on precedent or supervisory review. Exercise independent judgment and discretion of sensitive/confidential and proprietary information.
Partners with one's supervisor and other staff to maximize the efficiency of the group.
Participates, plans, coordinates and prioritizes work with direction.
Understand and troubleshoot from a broader perspective and anticipate the impact of office problems and solutions on the other areas.
Independently creates and delivers communications based on general instructions.
The ideal candidate will succeed not just by completing tasks, but by proactively working to maximize the effectiveness of the managers and other administrative associates in the group.

Minimum qualifications for the Sr Administrative Associate level:
Proficient with email, calendar (gCal), word-processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation applications; Microsoft Office required.
Ability to quickly learn new skills and software applications.
Skilled in writing and interpersonal communications.
Ability to establish contacts outside of ones work group and functional organization, develop partnerships with others to improve efficiency.
Ability to handle routine and impromptu assignments with minimal supervision.
Support of project teams and biotech industry experience a plus.
Experience working in an office environment providing administrative support.
