What You Will Do

As an Associate with Our Lady of Lourdes Memorial Hospital

  • NY, you will have the opportunity to perform a variety of administrative duties to support the Nursing Support Services Department. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and maintain composure in a fast-paced working environment. This position is responsible for receiving requests to assign admitted patients a room assignment on our inpatient nursing units. This position utilizes various computer programs, answers multiple telephone lines and provides coverage for the Nursing Support Services Administrative Office at Lourdes.

Responsibilities:

  • Composes, types and transcribes correspondence, forms, reports, presentation materials and other written communications as required.

  • Receives and screens visitors and telephone calls, and handles general inquiries.

  • Schedules/coordinates meetings, conferences, special events, appointments and travel arrangements. Maintains assigned calendar(s).

  • Establishes and maintains filing systems. Orders and stocks supplies.

What You Will Need

Education & Work Experience:

  • HS or Equivalent

  • Five (5) years of related experience preferred.

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare facility and familiarity with healthcare terms and conditions preferred
