PREREQUISITES

A Bachelors of Art or equivalent business/administrative school graduate or relevant job experience. Under the direction of the supervisor, responsible for general secretarial, clerical and administrative support duties within Global Quality Operations. Confidentiality and the ability to handle confidential material is critical to the position. In addition, excellent interpersonal skills, a team perspective and willingness to work with others are also critical requirements.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide exceptional administrative support for CVP Global Quality Operations.

  • Conserves executive's time by reading, researching, and routing correspondence; drafting letters and documents; collecting and analyzing information; initiating telecommunications.

  • Maintains Executives' appointment schedule by planning and scheduling meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel proactively.

  • Telephone coverage as assigned for CVP Global Quality Operations.

  • Handles highly confidential information, agendas, communications, announcements etc.

  • Prepares, submits, processes and tracks expense reports

  • Maintains staff lists, org charts and other departmental documents

  • Coordinate Global/Departmental meetings which include operating within defined budget and ensure coordination of all internal and external vendors

  • Executing technical transactions with accuracy within Oracle or other systems as necessary.

  • Organize administrative systems to support department members including filing/records retention and other functions as required.

  • Schedule conference room usage.

  • Prepare presentation materials in MS Power Point, Excel, or Word as needed.

  • Responsible for establishing strong network across Celgene including within GPDO.

  • Develops and maintains excellent relationships with Admin support across Celgene.

  • Welcomes guests and customers by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries.

  • Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Investigate and learn various new technologies to enable communication across the business and propose new ways of leveraging technology to enable the business

  • Other duties related to the above within Celgene as a whole, as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge Required:

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player and be willing to work in an environment where individual initiative and accountability to the team are required.

  • Must be able to work with limited day-to-day supervision.

  • A Bachelors in Art or equivalent business/administrative school graduate

  • A Bachelors of Art or equivalent business/administrative school graduate or relevant job experience Strong computer experience with deep Microsoft Office (MS Word, Project, Exel, Outlook, etc) experience and other technologies such as Access Database, Adobe

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Senior Manager Global Qual Sys – CAPA & DeviationSummit, NJ PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION: The Sr. Manager, Global Quality Systems – CAPA & Deviation, is responsible for process and system ownership of the CAPA and Deviation quality system elements along with Quality Risk Management System. In this role, the incumbent will serve as business process owner for the eQRMS electronic CAPA and Deviation modules, as well as the Risk Management system, the associated governing procedures and supporting processes. This is a highly visible role with global responsibility and cross-functional influence that has an impact on departmental performance and broad quality initiatives requiring both strategic and tactical decision making. In this capacity, the Sr. Manager will be the primary subject matter expert for GMP CAPA and Deviations across the company as well as the system knowledge and expertise for the implementation and ownership of Risk Management IT System. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Must have expert GMP, Quality, and in-depth risk management knowledge, particularly in the areas of CAPA and Deviations. * Must have an operational knowledge, including life cycle management experience, of common electronic quality system platforms, preferably EtQ, Documentum and ComplianceWire. * Must complete tasks independently and be confident in making complex decisions in their subject matter area, consulting with supervisor for decisions outside of established processes. * Must have working knowledge of and experience with Quality Risk Management tools * Will interact with and influence across multiple departments and sites. * Shall perform role of global lead for site leadership teams in the areas of Deviations and CAPA. * Must be able to conceptualize broad impact of system related initiatives and recognize quality issues. * Must be a problem solver, actively seeking management guidance on complex issues. * Shall be able to effectively prepare communications to the customer and management in a productive manner with clarity, brevity and accuracy. * Shall provide expert guidance on Quality initiatives and be able to conceptualize broad impact of Quality on sites and/or departments. * Must be familiar with the roles and responsibilities of common GMP functional areas such as Quality, Pharmaceutical Development, Regulatory Affairs and CMC, Technical Operations and Manufacturing. * Must be action-oriented and customer-focused and skilled in the following areas: o communication o building relationships o problem solving and negotiation o conflict management o analytical thinking * Must have a thorough knowledge of PC productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE * Relevant college or university degree in a scientific and/or clinical area of study preferred. * Minimum 7 years relevant work experience and minimum 3 years of leadership experience * Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
