Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
List the fundamental duties of the position

% Time

Provides administrative support to Plant GM and VP of Engineering. Requires in-depth knowledge of company operations, policies, and procedures. Will play a key role in supporting PDX site culture and BE FLIR Values. Handles details of a highly confidential and critical nature. Collects and prepares information for use in discussions/meetings of staff and outside individuals. Prepares presentation materials for meetings. Makes high level contacts of a sensitive nature inside and outside the company. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

Job Qualifications:
Include minimum education, work experience, knowledge & skills necessary to perform the functions of the job

  • Relieve senior staff of administrative functions that include a wide variety of complex & confidential situations

  • Arrange global travel arrangements

  • Prepares routine and advanced correspondence to include letters, memoranda and report

  • Provide support to other departments as necessary

  • Assist with Employee Activities such as quarter end lunches, holiday events, etc;

  • Manage Charity Giving program meetings/activities

  • Collect and prepare presentation materials for a variety of meetings

  • Work with leadership within and outside the company, as well as customers, vendors, visitors and other dignitaries

Must have 5+ years as an Administrative Assistant at senior level;

Must be advanced level in arranging global travel.

Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Must be flexible with a team player attitude

Bachelor's Degree preferred

Job Description Seeking a senior control system engineer to be an integral part of a multi-discipline engineering team developing state-of-the-art airborne, land and maritime stabilized, long-range, EO/IR imaging systems. The job is diverse and daily activities are dynamic to fulfill our important mission to Save Lives and Livelihood. Looking for an enthusiastic person who want to jump in and get things done with a group of top notch engineers. Responsibilities: * Utilize model-based design principles to design and define requirements for inertial stabilization control systems. * Model and empirically measure time and frequency domain performance and linear stability metrics. * Model and empirically measure inertial sensor performance parameters. * Model and empirically measure effects of digital to analog conversion. * Model actuator sizing and requirement flow down. * DC motor fundamentals * Reduced order structural modeling from finite element analysis. * Instrument and measure structural transfer functions relevant to the control system. * Design digital filter networks with optimal phase delay characteristics. * Digital signal processing fundamentals and best practices. * Modeling mixed continuous and discrete systems * Implementation of algorithms in C++ or HDL * Contribute to system architecture, defines performance requirements and feature capabilities * Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance * Facilitate cross discipline communications, FMEA, design reviews * Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables Required education and experience: * Degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Control Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) * Relevant industry experience with complex control systems * M.S./PhD and 5 years of relevant experience * B.S. and 10 years of relevant experience * Familiar with design for manufacturability * Experience developing manufacturing tools, processes and procedure development * Good written and verbal communications skills * Self-motivated, takes ownership Tools: * C++ * MATLAB * Python * HDL Bonus Skills: * Video system and image processing knowledge * Inertial navigation systems * Familiar with aviation standards * Familiar with military standards FLIR and all of our employees are committed to conducting business with the highest ethical standards.
