Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.

  • Month-end and Year-end Close: Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including AP and AR reconciliations, fixed assets and prepaid expenses, accruals, and T&E reconciliations.

  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Audit Support: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during annual audits, providing documentation and support as needed.

  • Tax Compliance: Assist with tax planning and compliance activities, including preparation of tax returns and coordination with external tax advisors.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and enhance efficiency, implementing improvements as appropriate.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in other departments, such as operations, sales, and R&D, to support their financial needs and provide insights to drive business decisions.

  • Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, leveraging financial expertise to contribute to the company's strategic objectives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned[1]

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in public accounting. Experience in the life sciences or biotechnology industry is a plus.

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting standards, and SOX 404.

  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel. ERP implementation experience is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with colleagues at all levels of the organization.

  • High degree of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards

Additional Information:

Full-time base salary range of $115,000 - $140,000 plus an annual bonus potential and equity opportunities.

Title and compensation will be based on level of experience with requested qualifications.
