Job Title: Sr. Accountant (Temp), Warner Music Latina

A little bit about our team:

The Finance Department at WM Latina is responsible for supporting the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and monitoring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. In addition, the finance department is responsible for ensuring that internal control policies are adequate and implemented. The department is a partner to all other departments concerning making strategic decisions that benefit the company.

Here you will get to:

  • Balance Sheet reconciliations (be able to identify root cause of variance and document reconciliation supporting documentation). This includes all types of balance sheet accounts, bank, fixed assets, inventory, a/r, a/p, prepaid, deferred income.

  • Understand the relation between sub-ledgers and the general ledger balance.

  • Assist in reconciling projects that require detail analysis.

  • Self-starter and experienced accountant who does not require much hand holding and can get the work done with minimal idle time.

  • Assist with the monthly intercompany billing with affiliates

  • Any ad-hoc projects to support the finance department

It would be music to our ears if you also had:

  • Strong analytical skills;

  • Strong computer skills, proficiency using Microsoft Office's Excel, Word and PowerPoint applications;

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build partnerships the rest pf the departments;

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills both in English and Spanish;

  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently and effectively while working under pressure; and

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments at any given time and prioritize them effectively and appropriately.

Special Requirements/Preferences:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' relevant experience.

Education Required/Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business is required.

Reconciles and reviews on a monthly basis the worktags assigned to them by analyzing costs, revenues and financial commitments. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS * Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports. * Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. * Oversees, mentors, and assists lower-level accountants. * Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements. * Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. * Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information. * Creates financial reports for taxes, regulatory agencies, and stockholders. * Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
