Within an innovative Manufacturing company, there's currently a full-time position open for an experienced Senior Accountant in the Dallas, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Manufacturing field and is located in Dallas, Texas. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations

  • Apply oneself to various department-wide initiatives

  • Prepare financial analysis on trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

  • Provide monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

  • Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process

  • Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

  • When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests

  • Provide assistance in coordinating quarterly reviews and SOX testing with internal and external

  • Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

  • Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

  • Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

  • Proficient in ERP systems

  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • Skilled at time management

  • Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

  • Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Skill with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

  • Great attention to detail

  • Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP

  • Strong familiarity with consolidations

  • SOX experience
