Position Summary:
Under general supervision, closes, reconciles, and updates general ledger accounts. Verifies accuracy of financial records and assists in maintaining other month end close related documents. Supports the external audit and tax requirements. Prepares ad-hoc analysis for finance and operation review per management?s directions. Participates in cross functional teams to improve processes and solve business problems.

Key Responsibilities:
? Reconciles, analyzes, and maintains general ledger entries. Supports monthly closing activities by preparing, verifying, and entering accurate journal entries into the general ledger. Researches accounting issues and ensures adherence to GAAP. ? Prepares monthly financial statements including balance sheet, income statement, statement of retained earnings, and statement of cash flows for consolidated company results. ? Analyzes manufacturing variances, direct labor, direct materials, and overhead ? Benchmarks results against prior periods and/or alternate data sources. Ensures concise and informative schedules. Reviews and analyzes specific accounts as well as overall operating results. Presents complete recommendations avoiding piecemeal iterative interactions with management. ? Assists in reviewing and updating all accounting policies and procedures; prepares policies and procedures, as needed. ? Assists with administration of internal accounting systems including corporate credit cards, financial consolidations, general ledgers, fixed assets, and employee expense management. ? Supports financial, controls, and operational audits as needed. ? Supports operations projects by performing a variety of analysis. ? Prepares detailed schedules to support audit and tax requirements. ? Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements/

Qualifications:
? Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited higher learning institution, CPA and/or MBA preferred ? Minimum 7 years of Accounting or Finance related experience; cost accounting and/or public accounting experience required. ? Exposure to various accounting software packages with at least an intermediate knowledge of Excel. Experience with financial reporting and consolidation systems preferred. ? Must possess a solid grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Demonstrated analytical abilities, tendency to quickly connect dots and surmise logical outcomes

  • BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred

  • Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities

  • 7+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience

  • Able to manage time well

  • Corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems experience a plus

  • General familiarity with general ledger

  • Demonstrated knowledge of account reconciliation

  • Adeptness in financial reconciliation

  • Deep understanding of US GAAP - Earlier work involving auditing

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

  • Foundational knowledge in financial reporting

  • Financial statement preparation experience highly preferred

  • Consolidations experience highly desired

  • Good understanding of financial auditing

  • Background working with financial statements consolidation

  • Solid understanding of accounting policy

  • Practical knowledge of journal entries

  • Prior work done in public accounting is desired

This role will support the contracting capability within the CoE which will implement best practice contract development and associated policies aligned with the US Commercial Operations strategy; and is part of the team that manages the Contract Offer Development to Signature aspects of BD/Bard GPO/Regional National contracts. This role will execute best in class, innovative, enterprise contract offer development and negotiation capabilities, and assist with developing policy, process, documentation and governance for the department to ensure the effective implementation of complex, critical contract activities that manage business opportunities and risk appropriately. Specifically, this role will consult, structure, negotiate and finalize effective, executable, GPO/Regional National contracts in accordance with BD requirements, as well as provide thoughtful input for the creation and maintenance of standard terms and conditions. Job Description * Create customized documents, templates, and various correspondences in support of a portfolio of BD/Bard GPO/Regional National and Aggregation contracts. . Ensure that risk is mitigated and provisions are preferred or acceptable per company standard. * Facilitate both internal and external calls, in order to review and resolve conflicts and finalize contracts. Understand and effectively communicate the differences between agreement types and versions * Actively participate in the development of the Apttus technology platform to support contract offer activities, workflow management and repository needs. * Maintain strategic contract information in CLM, providing accurate executable information across the organization * Manage the contract lifecycle for a specific portfolio of BD/Bard GPO/Regional, including planning, analyses, drafting/redlining, negotiation, facilitating and/or documenting internal approvals, execution, amendment, extension and retirement. * Actively utilize technology platforms and electronic systems (Excel/ QlikView/ CLM/Apttus) functionality and ensure that performance appropriately supports contract offer activities, workflow management and archiving database as required by company policies. * Coordinate across other Commercial Operations teams, including Business Analytics and Insights and Post-Deal Contract Operation Teams, to ensure consistency with policies, procedures and overall general provisions across all customer segments for BD/Bard, as well as smooth handoffs between teams and effective customer agreement terms and conditions. * Support process improvement projects (templates, standard terms, system updates, etc.) to drive operational efficiencies and standardization. * Work with team members to update Management and stakeholders regarding metrics reporting and project risks. * Understand emerging healthcare industry trends and assess their potential impact on BD/Bard GPO/Regional and other segment contracting and negotiation strategies. * Act with speed, agility and accountability enabling the achievement of excellence * BA/BS required (in lieu of a Bachelor's Degree, extensive (10+ years) experience in the applicable area) * 3+ years demonstrated experience in implementing business strategy, and building strong relationships with cross functional teams including Legal counsel, Regulatory, Compliance, Risk Management and Sales Leadership * Familiarity with US Antitrust laws and Sarbanes Oxley * Strong understanding of commercial contract management, including contract strategy development, negotiations, policy development and standardization of general terms with Medical Device products. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. * Must be able to work independently, multitask and prioritize workload in order to meet demanding deadlines including flexible work hours. * Experience in negotiating complex, strategic contract strategies and offerings; negotiation savviness * Strategic and analytical problem solver with business acumen.
