Sr. Accountant Job Description
Keurig Dr Pepper is seeking a team member to provide support in our fast-paced, demanding environment as a Senior Accountant. This is an accounting position with growth potential that focuses on general accounting functions supporting the Direct Store Delivery business unit, process improvement, and Sarbanes-Oxley. This position is critical for producing accurate and timely financial information to our Commercial Finance partners, as well as, promoting an environment of strong internal controls and efficiencies.
What you will do:
Initially, help drive transformational change by standardizing/optimizing processes being transitioned to the DSD Corporate Accounting team from the DSD field including (but not limited to) Coop Receivables, Misc Receivables, Prepaids, Management and Sales Incentives, Miscellaneous Accruals, Trade Accruals, reclasses, and financial statement reviews effectively partnering with the Commercial Finance teams.
Taking on primary responsibilities for the above mentioned processes as they are transitioned to the DSD Corporate team, as well, as, processes currently being performed by the DSD Corporate Accounting team.
Coordinate with KDP's co-sourcing partner on month/quarter close items ensuring completeness and accuracy of the DSD business unit financial statements.
Prepare account reconciliations ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company polices including SOX. Drive timely and accurate resolution/escalation of reconciling items.
Actively participate in key strategic projects (i.e.; system installations/upgrades, acquisitions, etc.) providing analysis and support as required.
Ensure respective SOX and internal controls are maintained/complied as designed; highlighting any relevant risk identified and solutions.
Prepare/provide supporting documentation for external and internal audit Prepared By Client (PBC) requests as needed.
Identify and highlight opportunities and efficiencies in the DSD financial and accounting processes and monthly/quarterly closes.
What you must have:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA is preferred.
3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience
Proficiency with SAP ERP systems, Excel, and reporting tools (TM1, Salient MM, Tagetik is plus)
Experience with process improvements/reengineering strongly preferred
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Self-driven, goal oriented, and someone who can work independently
Solid knowledge of US GAAP and SOX Section 404
IFRS experience is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with personnel at all levels
Ability to follow Keurig Dr Pepper policies, procedures, values and operating principles
