The Compensation Program Support department consists of six areas: Branch Compensation, Commissions, Branch Expense and P & L, Compensation Initiative Support, Payroll and Compensation & Expense Service.
The Branch Expense and P & L team is responsible for the timely and accurate electronic distribution of all financial advisor Profit and Loss Statements and Business Expense Plans in the United States and Canada.
The Senior Accountant Branch Expense and P & L is responsible for delivering individual results in alignment with the department's strategic and operational objectives. This role will prepare, summarize and present firm financial reports and analysis, identifying trends and presenting recommendations.
Reconcile and review branch expense and P&L transactions to ensure financial integrity of compensation programs.
Prepare, summarize and present firm financial and operational reports to department leadership in order to influence decision making.
Analyze, document, and monitor business processes in order to identify and implement process and control improvements.
Support system design, documentation, testing, and implementation to ensure the department's requirements are met.
Respond timely and accurately to service inquiries related to branch expenses and P&Ls.
Develop and maintain business relationships and partnerships with key business owners and stakeholders throughout the division and firm.
Understand the roles, responsibilities and activities performed by organizational functions; understand the interrelationship among organizational functions, and ability to collaborate across functional and organizational lines.
Bachelor degree in related field. CPA preferred.
Minimum 3 years requirement of relevant work experience
Financial services industry experience preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook)
Proficient in PeopleSoft and BI Tools preferred
General knowledge of accounting practices and principles
Superior interpersonal and communication skills; effectively communicates with leaders and associates within and across divisions
Ability to identify and implement necessary controls
Ability to retrieve and analyze data and translate into actionable insights
Ability to identify, prioritize, monitor, communicate and/or resolve complex problems
