This role will include both direct account management and indirect leadership of cross-functional teams. Therefore, the Account Manager must play a highly-collaborative leadership role within the organization.

Achieve profitable sales and share growth targets in alignment with sales plan goals/objectives.
Build and translate the Petcare strategic plan and directives into action through developing, executing & measuring clear joint business plans, line reviews & sustainable business practices.
Primary contact for customer development and leadership for the category (e.g. owns buyer relationship on both branded and exclusive brands). Develop strong & sustainable relationships with high credibility and mutual respect, resulting in high customer loyalty and satisfaction.
Work with cross functional / sales business unit resources to develop execution plans that align with the sales business unit strategies. Develop effective and productive relationships within the sales business unit and Cross-Functional Teams.
Proactively analyze the business to develop new insights and ways to continuously improve the business & unlock growth.
Analyze and communicate future and emerging customer & category needs so Mars Petcare is in a position to compete and lead within the Channel.
Flawless planning, forecasting & execution of core everyday business, new item launches, promotions and merchandising.
Own & manage detailed forecast. Work closely with Supply (especially CPFR and demand planning) to align weekly/monthly/annual forecasting for existing and new items and brands.
Continuously improve collaborative planning, recommending new approaches and processes that ensure better customer planning, input, and alignment.
Manage within trade budget, delivering a sound, financial plan for the account and maintaining a year end position within allowable range.
Exemplify Mars' 5 Principles and embody high & positive engagement within the team.
Dotted-line management and development of Sales Analyst.
Champion Club Channel strategy. Enhance and evolve current club portfolio and new items against changing size and pack type priorities. Work closely with Club counterparts to manage club requirements and expectations against other channel strategies.

Successful completion of a drug and background screen
Clean driving record and valid drivers license
6+ year(s) of experience in direct selling and account management, within the CPG industry
Walmart, Sam's, and/or club channel experience
