The Sr. Account Manager will be responsible, but not limited to the following:

  • Sr. Account Manager role will be be located in the New Orleans area

  • Responsible for sales, strategic account planning and overall relationship management for a number of "target" customers within the assigned territory.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales plan for each "target" account and or geography and their buying centers covering the full portfolio of Motorola products and services (core and emerging technologies)

  • Assemble and coordinate a diverse team of internal & external sales resources to assess customer's needs and address their requirements

  • Act as a trusted advisor to influence customer's technology platform decisions and develop preference and loyalty for Motorola Solutions

  • Proactively develop large project opportunities encompassing a wide range of products and services while forecasting future business out eight quarters.

  • Proactively engage and lead channel partners in selling Motorola products and services to customers buying centers where appropriate

  • Develop strong relationships with key decision makers and influencers within and outside of public safety; Sheriff, Mayor, CIO, Police Chief, Fire Chief and other officials in order to understand and influence technology and funding priorities

  • Proactively engage Motorola executive sponsors to build a strategic relationship to position long term opportunities for Motorola

  • Develop Motorola procurement vehicles for multiple solutions to be leveraged across customer base

  • Must be willing to travel 25% throughout Southeastern Louisiana & Southern Mississippi territory

Specific Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience OR Seeking 8+ years of sales experience.

  • Seeking previous outside sales experience selling solutions into government organizations preferred.

  • Strong relationship development and management skills

  • Experience utilizing strategic account management practices

  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written & presentation)

  • Ability to quickly learn new key characteristics of products/solutions and communicate the value of those solutions to customers

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Ability to develop and maintain relationships with a C-Level executives

  • Ability to establish oneself as a trusted advisor

  • Ability to lead a diverse group in addressing customer requirements

  • High tech solutions sales experience a plus

  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices a plus

  • Highly motivated and results oriented

  • Experience utilizing channel partners to address customer requirements

  • Ability to quickly learn Salesforce as the project reporting tool and forecast method.

Sr. National Account Manager (Club, Costco): It is preferred that candidates have prior experience working with selling to Costco. Location: Chicago preferred Lead development and execution of the Costco strategies to drive demand creation and achieve Net Sales, Retail Margin and Distribution Goals. Manage Mars Food portfolio, including Tasty Bite at Costco. Drive North American collaboration and leverage scale opportunities. Develop short and long term strategic business plan that will accelerate customer, category and Mars Food growth.   Key Responsibilities/Principle Accountabilities: Delivering the Operating Plan: Achievement of channel growth and profit objectives while developing a 3 year customer business plan that includes business trends, innovation, and base assumptions and delivers market share, NSV, operating profit, ROI on Trade. Responsible for delivering target GSV through effectively managing distribution, shelving and merchandising. Identify and analyze business trends utilizing syndicated data, account profitability, and category information. Utilize Category management principles to secure and gain incremental shelf space. North American Sales Strategy: Partner with internal stakeholders in the development and the alignment of the local strategies with the North American sales organization. Develop sales strategy for Uncle Ben’s, Seed of Change and Tasty Bite to drive long term growth objectives. Execute new product sales strategy for Uncle Ben’s, Seeds of Change and Tasty Bite to drive long term growth objectives.   Global Strategies: Take leadership role in the development & management of select Costco international business and act as a liaison to other Mars units who work with Costco abroad. Develop communications and go-to-customer strategies across business segments in building channel / customer business. Managing Trade & Customer Marketing Budget: Effectively negotiate trade deals to drive profitable business and positive ROI. Drive Net Sales Realization. Review promotions recommending changes to optimize the future use of funds for greater impact.  Effectively leverage in-store demo programs to grow brand trial and penetration. Establish and gain alignment to Customer plans: Develop a clear business strategy and vision leading development of overall Channel / Customer growth agenda while overseeing collaborative planning process with Customer Marketing and Marketing teams. Order Management: Liaison with Customer Supply Chain Team to drive initiatives and monthly status meetings. Understanding of customer Scorecard requirements specific to Fill Rates, On-Time Ship, In Stocks, EDI, AP Match Rate, etc. Input into S&OP process to ensure that all base and merchandising programs are planned with the required timelines of respective global supply sources. Broker Management: Manage overall Broker financial relationships to ensure resource allocation. Maximize broker coverage and priorities. Customer Relationship Development: Leverage tools and relationship with customers to drive forecast accuracy. Ensures that these are communicated correctly and within submission deadlines. Continually review submitted forecasts to anticipate issues and take corrective action as needed. Create action plans to capitalize on the business opportunities available for company products and programs within assigned accounts. Deliver Innovation: Translate customer understanding into winning propositions and develop innovation pipeline with internal marketing and customer marketing team.
