Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Advocate relationships between the client, internal stakeholders and the supplier community to ensure quality, delivery and budget goals are met on every project.

  • Work with the client and team members to coordinate print production schedules, print specifications, quotations and billing. Initiate requests for bids, customer quotations, and supplier purchase orders.

  • Negotiate the best possible pricing and schedules as required to execute individual projects, and ensure that the end result exceeds the client's expectations.

  • Build a cohesive team among supplier partners, and multiple client departments.

  • Lead a collaborative effort to streamline operations and enhancing the value of the Continuum to the client.

  • Utilize experience and network to offer new, innovative suppliers to our supplier network.

  • Analyze and work with the client's budgets for each category, maintain spend tracking and provide accurate reporting.

  • Capture the revenue, cost of goods, and profitability for each job to be able for monthly and quarterly presentations.

  • Facilitate special projects and initiatives to increase productivity for both our onsite team as well as the client team.

Day-to-Day Tasks & Activities:

  • Responsible for growth and development of client business across all printed products.

  • Work within a production team while interfacing with our client's marketing staff to understand production requirements. Develop innovative print formats, production schedules and distribution solutions.

  • Analyze print specifications to ensure that all job requirements, quality expectations, artwork availability and delivery dates are clearly identified and achieved.

  • Investigate potential suppliers and select those most capable based on knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, supplier facility locations, pricing and schedule availability.

  • Interface with our proprietary print management software to prepare requests for bid, assign jobs and track/report results.

  • Managing all aspects of production with suppliers. Work with suppliers on delivery timetables and maintain a current status of assigned projects at all times.

  • Verify and process invoices according to established guidelines to ensure all charges are accurate and authorized.

You Will Be Successful at Continuum if You:

  • Enjoy working directly with the client in a fast-paced, team-based environment where innovation and new ideas are strongly encouraged.

  • Experience in Retail, specializing in Direct Mail, FSI's and In-store Signage.

  • Like crafting innovative solutions and leading client brainstorming sessions.

  • Are able to leverage a strong project management background and capable of tracking project revenue, costs and profit levels.

  • Have a strong ability to interact creatively and efficiently with marketing leadership teams and have excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Are proficient in MS Excel and have high aptitude for math, cost reporting and data analysis.

  • Have previous experience with a Print Management firm (preferred, not required) and/or a bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience within the graphic arts, agency or printing industry.

JOB SUMMARY The Group Account Manager is responsible for providing dedicated account management support in the group intermediary segment to gain penetration, maximize revenue, defend and increase preference, loyalty and profitable share. By applying the principles of strategic account management, this position ensures pull-through of overall business strategies to build long-term relationships between Marriott International and intermediary partners. The individual works to develop, build and maintain long-term, value-based group customer relationships in order to achieve personal and team related revenue goals. Maintains relationships with all of the accounts' group buyers and liaising with relevant cross-discipline resources (corporate, regional, market, property) around the world, to ensure effective pull-through of account strategies as well as assist with closing on critical high priority meetings to achieve results.. CANDIDATE PROFILE Education and Experience * High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area OR * 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area. * 5 total years of hotel industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance, preferred. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES Understanding Markets & Maximizing Revenue * Targets group accounts, markets or segments with heavy emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation. * Creates and delivers customized solutions based on market conditions and individual group needs. * Understands the overall market - competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them. * Identifies, qualifies and solicits new accounts with a focus on increasing business. * Educates hotels on value of Intermediary Account and Segment to add value to hotel and maximize profit. * Strives to achieve personal and market revenue goals. Developing & Executing Sales Plans * Provides proactive account management with a primary focus on the group intermediary segment. * Maintains and grows business of existing accounts. * Researches and analyzes account information and relevant data to identify new business opportunities in the group segment. * Works with field account executives and hotels to create solutions. * Develops and implements effective sales plans in the group intermediary segment. * Executes designated sales strategies to develop and solicit specific accounts to achieve revenue goals. * Provides project management oversight on the implementation of account related initiatives in the group segment. * Provides tactical support to all account team members on the group intermediary segment. * Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts. * Maintains accurate and up-to-date account information relating to group segment account plans.
