The Role

Strategic Advisors Technology (SAT) is looking for an experienced Squad Leader to work on one of Fidelity's key strategic programs.

We are a highly collaborative, fast-paced team in a growth area driving real value through our solutions. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about investment/wealth management, problem solving, quality development, and continuous improvement. That passion allows you to be the end-to-end gatekeeper of the Squad's mission, culture, strategy, and tactical execution.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree (or above) in technology or finance related field

  • 6+ years of experience in business/systems analysis, product owner, and/or product management with +2 years experience in a Squad Lead type capacity

  • Excellent communication, organization and planning, and presentation skills

  • Experience working on distributed and multi-time zone teams.

  • Proven experience designing, developing, and maintaining large, complex, and dynamic products and solutions

  • Agile, Jira, and Jira Align experience, preferably from a planning perspective

  • Financial services industry knowledge and experience vital, investment management and/or wealth management domain knowledge needed and financial optimizer experience a plus

  • Specifically familiar with patterns and processes enabling a user to review large dataset quickly and efficiently

  • Translate strategic objectives into consumable, actionable plans, that your squad or product area can build from

  • Derive epics and end-to-end workflows that can be broken down into stories with well-defined business value and acceptance criteria

  • Track record of building highly engaged, industrious teams with a strong focus on execution and the ability to identify, communicate, and remove impediments

  • Effective at running fusions for estimating and planning large efforts that articulate the project demands, assumptions, schedule, and risks, and help advise Product Area roadmap and capacity needs

  • Capable of leading, influencing, and motivating colleagues on solutions, ways of working and tools without formal authority, and a track record of building highly effective teams

  • Innovative, intellectually curious, and a team player who can continuously improve our culture, process, and tools, and encourage an agile way of working

  • Solutions and capabilities that progress the Account Management product/platform vision, meet stakeholder needs, and have gone through a thorough prioritization process you develop balancing return on investment and delivery timeframes

  • Defining, refining, and communicating the roadmap, mission, and plans for assigned Squads, products, and initiatives

  • You are a constant voice of the platform's stakeholders, allowing you team to focus on how to build the best product

  • Collaborating and coordinating with Chapter Leaders, Architects, Scrum Masters, and Squad members to build Squad capacity and capability to achieve our goals

The Team

The Account Management portfolio construction team within Strategic Advisors Technology provides personalized portfolio management to Fidelity's roughly 3 million managed accounts and 800B+ AUM. The platform provides tax advantages and customizations all with the aim to help customers realize their investment goals. As a Squad Lead on the investment management review team, you will work closely with Fidelity's portfolio engineers, investment architects and operations team to understand the product vision and challenges. From there, you'll work with your squad of analysts and engineers to deliver innovative, cost effective, architecturally aligned, and timely solutions.

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.
