MANUFACTURING QUALITY ENGINEER - HYDRAULIC INSPECTION AND SUPPLIER QUALITY SUPPORT

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Hydraulic Inspection: sample, measure, and report particle count from incoming hydraulic parts and oil from assembled hydraulic systems per control plan; facilitate reaction plans for out-of-spec parts and systems.
Supplier Quality Support: prepare problem definitions, submit Supplier Corrective Action Report (SCAR) requests, negotiate disposition of nonconforming parts with Suppliers, and work with Suppliers to facilitate resolution of SCARs.
Machining and Assembly Support: participate in cross-functional review of process potential failure modes and effects analysis (process pFMEA); validation of control plan effectiveness; torque recipe development for critical bolted joints; process audits; ECN readiness; statistical process control (SPC); internal corrective action reports.
Report Balanced Score Card (BSC) metrics for Focus Area and facilitate actions to address gaps.
Complete assigned actions to support strategic initiatives.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
B.S. engineering degree.
5+ years' experience in Manufacturing Environment desired.
Computer literate with knowledge of: MS Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, ERP/MRP BOM systems, CAD.
Demonstrate proficiency with mechanical inspection tools and techniques including: calipers, thread gages, micrometers, pin gages, and indicators.
Proficiency in reading engineering drawings including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
Strong teamwork skills with ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Willingness to learn and successfully apply additional skills and knowledge (pFMEA, 8D, Kepner-Tregoe Problem Analysis, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, inspection techniques, product manuals, etc.).
