Job Description:

Responsible for developing and automating routines supporting data mining, contact strategies, and ICDP loading initiatives. Utilizes a variety of systems including, but not limited to Excel, Visual Basic for Applications, SAS, AutoSys, and Unix at an intermediary level.

Manages projects with urgency and ensures they are completed within the established time frame. Ability to work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Research established databases in various environments to deliver the desired results. Performs ad hoc analysis using SAS, Excel and other tools to optimize communication strategies. Develops an understanding of code and processes and identifies areas of risk as well as creative solutions for improving processes.

Manages triages to determine root cause and resolution and communicates findings to the LOB. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment.

Required Skills &Experience

  • Experience with code and/or statistical tools such as SAS or SQL

  • Skilled with MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)

  • Proficient at written and oral communication, including presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Experience with the Bank's data infrastructure

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Advanced data mining / programming and analytics experience with SAS/SQL as demonstrated by +2 years of experience.

  • Experience with process design/redesign

  • Consumer Card and Small Business Lending experience

Enterprise Description

Responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling. Utilizes a variety of systems including, but not limited to Excel, Access, Visual Basic, SAS, and InfoQuest at an intermediary level.

Provides analytical support on various strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports and updates for senior management. May utilize established databases to provide statistical and financial modeling.

Analyzes portfolio trends, concerning risk, loss trends, marketing performance, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Will participate in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretionand independent judgment. 2-5 years experience preferred.

Role entails performing complex analysis and modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. This position entails managing multiple projects and developing analyses for the purpose of making recommendations to optimize card portfolio management strategies. Reviews and analyzes trends, population distributions, and recommends strategy enhancements.
