Rita Technology Services, a leading Search & Consulting firm has an immediate need for a SQL Developer/DBA to join our client in Atlanta, GA. This is a full-time (Direct Hire) position with a dynamic, growing company.
The primary responsibilities for this role will be to design stable and reliable databases. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving and maintaining new and existing databases to help users retrieve data effectively. There is a lot of integration work to be done!
As part of the IT team, you will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency. Designing, creating and maintaining database driven reports. This position requires experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design stable, reliable and effective databases
Develop and implement database systems based on requirements
Create complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development
Ensure data quality and integrity in databases
Convert existing Crystal and RDLC reports to SSRS
Create new SSRS reports based on business requirements
Create and maintain SSIS packages, following best practices and source control
Optimize and maintain legacy systems
Modify databases according to requests and perform tests
Solve database usage issues and malfunctions
Test databases and perform bug fixes
Perform space management and capacity planning for database systems
Perform data back-up and archival on regular basis
Gather user requirements and identify new features
Prepare design specifications and functional documentations for assigned database projects
Provide data management support to users
Ensure all database programs meet company and performance requirements
Research and suggest new database products, services and protocols
Evaluate existing database and recommend improvements for performance efficiency
Develop security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage
Develop technical and training manuals
Troubleshoot database related issues in a timely fashion
Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
BS degree in a Computer Science, IS, or relevant experience
Proven work experience as a Database Developer
Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
In-depth understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
Knowledge of software development and user interface applications
Hands on experience with SQL Server 2014 and SQL 2016
Strong hands on experience with SQL Integration Services (SSIS)
Hands on experience SQL Reporting Services (SSRS)
Experience with Azure SQL a plus.
Knowledge of No-SQL databases such as MongoDB, CosmosDB, etc. a plus
