Are you a mid level/senior SQL DBA interested in honing your
skills with a growing and collaborative team? Have you found
yourself just doing production and/or support duties? Do you have
solid systems development skills (or want to learn) as well? My
Cleveland client is seeking to add a growth-based position on
their highly influential SQL Data team. The team has decided to
grow in order to meet expectations for a highly visible and
game-changing client. You will have the ability to learn how to
tune and build a Data Warehouse, Data Modeling, and Database
Administration. If you have ~5+ years of SQL Development
experience and are familiar with, or want to learn, in high
availability SQL environment, then read on!
Responsibilities include developing best practices and repeatable
procedures for deploying databases, day-to-day operational
activities including break/fix, space management, backup and
restore, performance monitoring and tuning. Makes
recommendations for physical database design, architecture, and
testing of MS SQL databases. Identifies data sources, constructs
decomposition diagrams, provides data flow diagrams and documents
the process. Writes code for database access, modifications, and
constructions including stored procedures. Maintains version
control for promoting changes into production environments. Good
understanding of storage systems and various application
integration architectures. Supports production environments
twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
(2008 through 2016) experience required.
Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization using
native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.
SSIS is a solid requirement that you must have.
SSRS is also a requirement but not a large amount of the role.
XML, C#, and Visual Studio are needed
Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery options
for SQL Server.
