About the Role

Gain real world experience as an Intern in Matson's Safety, Quality, Environment, and Security (SQES) Department. The Intern rate of pay is $25/hour. This position requires the successful candidate to be in-office at our Oakland Corporate office at least 3 days per week.

What you'll do:

• Assist with preparing regulatory compliance documentation.

• Assist with collecting safety, quality, and environmental data from Matson Navigation, Matson Terminals, and Matson Logistics Warehouse locations.

• Schedule and coordinate vessel and shoreside audits.

• Ad hoc projects as needed.

You have these skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, etc.).

• Strong attention to detail.

• Strong commitment to confidentiality.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.

• Self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills.

And these qualifications:

• Rising Junior or Senior in active pursuit of a Bachelor's degree.

• Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.
