Position Description

The Value-Added (VA) Services Supervisor is responsible for supervising and overseeing the daily efforts of FMS/CSS IT resources (employee & contract) responsible for coordination and delivery of value-added software and hardware services in support of business funded initiatives in the US and Canada. The VA Supervisor ensures that all project coordination efforts, reporting, and financial tracking needed to insure successful/timely delivery of work products per defined value-added processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Business, or equivalent work experience

  • Three (3) years or more experience in managing a service delivery team or project management team

  • Two (2) years or more experience in IT functional or technical delivery

  • Ability to:

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and oversees daily operations of onsite Associate Project Managers and Contract Team members coordinating delivery of approved Minor Enhancement (ME) projects to the business

  • Monitors ME workloads, provides leadership guidance/support to Team members to mitigate "blockers" to project delivery. Attends and engages in Business ME review meetings, acting as main IT liaison champion to ensure alignment to ME process/business engagement model by all teams

  • Review and monitor work products for accuracy, content, and process compliance to provide timely feedback to team members and/or Management. Provides input to management on employee performance for the annual performance review process, including recommendations for promotions or corrective actions

  • Provides Bi-weekly financial summaries for ME expense/capital spending and associated trending for leadership briefings. Conduct bi-weekly team meetings, foster team building, cross-team collaboration and IT ME Scorecard alignment

  • Champion process optimization efforts and improvements to minimize overhead so teams focused on valued-added tasks essential to successful project delivery. Evolve existing Appian ME reporting/statusing environment for full transparency to delivery efforts and financials

  • Ensures that Team members following QA engagement processes and planning for delivery of Knowledge Transfer (KT) to production support team(s) to ensure post-release support readiness. Foster close dialogue and working collaboration between ME team and Production Support teams

  • Review and approvers weekly timesheets for employee and contract resources, reviewing billable/non-billable hours. Participate with manager in monthly review of budget run-rate against ME budget (ASL)

  • Serves in the escalation path for all business concerns with Minor Enhancement execution & delivery

  • Oversees functions and improvements to Appian ME reporting/statusing environment

  • Attends staff meetings for the IT Services Team and Weekly Highlights reviews (if applicable)

  • Perform other duties as assigned

The EUS Supervisor ensures that all reported issues are addressed and resolved within Department SLAs and ensures that the Team is delivering along high standards of customer service.
