Under general supervision, provides direct care to patients with physical disabilities and/or functional limitations in clinic, inpatient, outpatient and outreach programs. Provides physical therapy evaluation, consultation and intervention services for assigned routine to complex patients, in accordance with Connecticut Children's patient care delivery model and program policies and procedures.
Collaborates with patients, families, other health care team members and community resources to implement and coordinate a continuous plan of care, and to educate patients and families in appropriate physical therapy methods. Participates in assigned staff development and research activities.

DOCUMENTATION: Completes required clinical documentation in an organized and timely manner, in accordance with all department standards.
ADMINISTRATIVE: Maintains expected patient care productivity per department standard
STAFF DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH: May provide support, guidance and mentoring to less experienced staff members.
May act as a clinical instructor for students after one year of practice as a pediatric Physical Therapist. Actively engages in literature reviews as related to patient caseload. Participates in weekly staff meetings and case reviews. As assigned, participates in research activities.

OTHER: Required to work occasional weekends and holidays.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy required. Doctoral Degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in pediatric therapy strongly preferred.
LICENSE and/or CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
Current State of Connecticut Physical Therapist License required
Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/ CPR in adult, child and infant within first six months of hire.
