On behalf of our client, BBSI is seeking a Sports Marketing & Event Coordinator! Our client is on a mission to put Medford and the Rogue Valley on the map as the ultimate sports destination! The Sports Marketing & Event Coordinator will assist the Director of Sports Development in their duties to promote Medford and the Rogue Valley by attracting, developing, and supporting sporting events, activities and programs that strengthen the economic impact of the region through overnight visitation.

Responsibilities:

• Event Management: Assist in planning and executing advocacy and fundraising events.

• Content Creation: Develop a sports content calendar and create engaging content for various platforms.

• Program Development: Promote the Know Your Role program locally, regionally, and nationally.

• Social media enhancement.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships to attract future sports events.

• Special Projects: Handle tasks assigned by the Director of Sports Development.

Requirements:

• Passion for sports, tourism, and community engagement.

• Team player with strong time management and communication skills.

• Creative thinker with a knack for content creation.

• Willing to work some nights and weekends.

• Experience in sports tourism, destination marketing, or sports commission is a plus.

• Valid driver license, and reliable transportation.

• If offered a position, must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.

Physical Requirements:

• Operate a motor vehicle.

• Lift up to 35 pounds.

• Walk up and down stairs, sit, stand, and walk throughout the workday.

Pay/Hours:

• $20.00 an hour
• 15-20 hours a week.
