Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Sports Club Specialist

• Boca Raton, FL

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Assist with the review and approval of Participation Waivers, Event Request Forms, Travel Request Forms, and Purchase Request Forms

• Communicate with Club officers regarding Sport Club updates

• Check and respond to the Sport Clubs email account

• Assist in tracking Tier Points used for club classification

• Track officer responsibilities and follow-up as needed

• Meet with club officers one-on-one to provide general guidance and clarification to processes as needed.

• Attend Sport Club Executive Board meetings and assist with Sport Club Council meeting.

• Review and update documents and processes involved in the administration of Sport Clubs

• Implement and enforce the policies and procedures set forth in the Sport Club Council Handbook

• Ensure clubs stay compliant with all guidelines set forth by Campus Recreation and FAU

• Coordinate with Clubs regarding social media use and promotion

• Collaborate with other members of the department regarding reservations, finance, and marketing

• Post on Social Media

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree-seeking undergraduate student with a minimum of six credit hours (or twelve if international) and a 2.0 GPA.

Additional Requirements:

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities

• Demonstrate ability to be detail-oriented

• Interest in sport or recreation management preferred"

$13.20 per hour
