Job Summary:
The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology (CEAT) at Oklahoma State University is seeking a Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator to join the CEAT Research Administration office. This position provides support for pre-award activities under the supervision of the Manager of Sponsored Programs.
The major functions of this position may include: Preparation and submission of proposals; research and review funding opportunities; develop and monitor budgets; review cost accounting standard exceptions; seek cost share approval; review for regulatory and fiscal compliance; Utilize agency specific electronic research and sponsored project administration systems including but not limited to Cayuse, research.gov, OCAST OGX, NIH Assist; Coordinate electronic research administration activities for proposals including routing and submission; report changes to funding agency requirements; participate in sponsor audits; conduct/participate in workshops/training; communicate policies and procedures to faculty and staff; coordinate with other colleges and external institutions; participate in professional development opportunities.
The Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator is expected to assist the College in achieving its vision and mission. A positive and professional attitude, and willingness to assist as needed are expectations for all employees.
The Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator will have excellent oral and written communication skills. They must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and the ability to adapt to various online sponsored program systems. The Sponsored Programs Specialist/Coordinator must be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects under strict deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
High School/GED
Four years of experience in Sponsored Programs Administration, Research Administration or another closely related field. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
The ability to adapt to various online proposal submission systems. Self-motivated and capable of managing multiple projects under strict deadlines. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Ten years of experience in Sponsored Programs Administration, Research Administration or another closely related field, with knowledge of grants and contracts regulations; budget development; technical reporting; proposal submission; etc. Demonstrated abilities with proposal development and grant fiscal and regulatory compliance. Post-secondary education may be substituted for experience.
