The center's current scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, community health systems development, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. The center conducts, analyzes, and disseminates qualitative and quantitative research to connect decision-makers with the objective research and guidance needed to make informed decisions about health policy and programs. The center is at work locally, nationally, and internationally with public and private partners to improve health and well-being.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The marketing specialist supports GHPC's communications and marketing team in the overall marketing strategy for the center including branding, public relations, digital strategy, collateral development, outreach, and internal communications. The marketing specialist must demonstrate technical skills (graphic design, web design, and/or video editing), the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and to collaborate in a dynamic team environment. This is an Atlanta-based position.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

The scope of responsibility will include these specific areas and duties but is not limited to the following:

  • Assist in the execution and project management of a high-level branding and communications strategy

  • Assist project teams and GHPC staff with presentations, reports, and briefs

  • Assist the communications team, as needed, with social media graphics and planning, website maintenance and posting, and design of collateral (videos, infographics, logos and graphics, marketing materials, etc.)

  • Attention to details and accuracy

  • Incredible organizational skills

  • Creative problem-solving and design skills

  • Graphic design, video production/editing, and/or web design skills

  • Strong interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong writing and proofreading skills

  • Knowledge of printing, design, and publication techniques

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing and three years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.

Preferred Hiring Qualifications:

  • Experience with adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, video editing, virtual meeting platforms, content management systems (e.g., MailChimp or Constant Contact), and WordPress.
