Position Description:

Join this new project as a Senior Splunk ITSI Architect / Senior Engineering and Team Lead!

With your expertise you will work with the customer to define the reporting/dashboard requirements, help to establish a team of Splunk ISIT architects and engineers, drive/deliver those customer requirements in an Agile framework.

You will be supported technically by a small team of Splunk ITSI Architects and Senior Specialists and procedurally by an Agile Scrum Master. You will have the opportunity to show/grow with technology in a customer-facing role.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

CLIENT INTERFACE

Communicating with customer stake holders to include leadership, support teams, and system administrators.

Consult and receive dashboard development or augmentation requirements.

Consult and configure/customize Splunk to meet their requirements.

Be the technical interface between the engineers on the team and the client.

TECHNICAL TEAM LEAD

Mentor a small team of Splunk ITSI engineers

Be a technical resource for the Splunk ITSI Engineers on the team.

Assist sizing and prioritization of the Backlog of client requirements.

Oversee the development activities of other members of the Splunk Development team

SPLUNK ARCHITECT / ENGINEER

Architect and deploy clustered/distributed Splunk Enterprise 7. x implementations to large, complex customers.

Administer Splunk and Splunk Apps to include developing new/custom Apps to perform specialized functionality.

Troubleshoot and support Splunk Platform and associated topologies on multiple OS

Technical writing/creation of formal documentation such as reports, training material, slide decks, and architecture diagrams.

Develop or enhance advanced Splunk dashboards with HTML, Javascript, and Python to support custom user interactions and visualizations.

Generate or enhance Splunk Reports and Alerts

Develop complex dashboards and optimize searching for users across the firm

Implement Glass Tables via ITSI

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

At least 12 years of IT experience of which 8 years must be with dashboarding/BI tools

At least 6 years of working experience of Splunk dashboard creation with HTML, Javascript, and Python to support custom user interactions and visualizations.

Knowledge and Expertise of Splunk ITSI architecture and Splunk apps integration and administration

Working experience in writing complex Splunk searches correlating multiple data sources by using techniques such as conditional control, looping, in line regex, and subsearches.
3-5 years' working experience in programming or writing queries for Splunk, SQL and/or Oracle databases.

Strong analytic skills and learning abilities.

Strong technical troubleshooting, diagnosing and problem solving skills.

Results driven, strategic, conceptual, and innovative thinker

Excellent consulting skills and superior ability to develop and maintain effective client relationships

Desired Qualifications:

Splunk certification (preferred)

Demonstrated technical experience with shell, python/ Java/C# etc.

Strong interest and motivations toward data analytics and machine learning.

Experience with Agile Management Principles

Configure administer Tomcat JDBC, JMS and JNDI services.

Experience with Splunk DB Connect 2.0 Support

Broad knowledge of cyber and automation applications and tools, integration experience of such tools into a Splunk solution

Experience working with REST APIs and web development
