A Spirits First Sales Manager is responsible for bringing a vision for their market, development of their sales team's skills and customer growth in order to gain the greatest possible return on investments. The Spirits First Sales Manager will drive results by ensuring talent and resources are optimized while being focused on profit-driven activities in support of company strategies and goals. This position is part of the Spirits First Sales Team.

Here's more of what you will do… (OK, not all in one day!)

Drives team accountability, performance and development through metrics, performance evaluation and surveys.

  • Leads team member development and training by coaching sales team leaders and team members, in market, to ensure proper application of the Andrews sales methodology.

  • Sets clear performance standards and coaches team member development via work-withs to ensure the proper use of performance measurement tools.

  • Observes, evaluates, and documents team member performance in market to reinforce monthly training initiatives. Provides timely performance feedback and coaching to all sales and merchandising team members.

  • Develops and implements spirits selling processes and merchandising (Off Premise) productivity processes that maximize customer service in a cost-effective manner.

  • Ensures compliance in all company programs and practices.

  • Leads change initiatives through coaching, feedback, follow-up and recognition.

  • Encourages team engagement and builds overall team relationships by providing open communication for the sales team to voice concerns and opportunities'; researches and develops solutions as needed.

Manages the time commitment and scheduling of the Spirits First Market Managers, acts as a liaison between sales teams to ensure a high level of productivity in each Hometown Off Premise market.

  • Allocates time for education and training time in market to ensure a high level of spirits knowledge and selling skills.

  • Allocates team member market time to support other Hometown sales teams for res

  • Collaborates and ensures reset strategies, objectives and schedules are met.

  • Ensures pertinent sales information is sent to each sales team member to avoid unnecessary distractions.

  • Provides in-market coaching, mentoring and performance-related guidance on a routine basis.

  • Collaborates with Marketing to design targeted programming/marketing and sales/business planning.

  • Provides leadership to sales team during quarterly sales and performance planning.

  • Seeks out opportunities to build Spirits First knowledge, education and business growth.

Leads exceptional retail execution through building customer relationships and strong team performance.

  • Collaborates with On Premise and Off Premise beer sales leaders and teams to represent a united Spirits and Beer business plan.

  • Collaborates with other Sales, Shared Services and Operations teams as needed to provide leadership for business initiatives and support the adaption of spirits first programming/education.

  • Spends time in market building customer relationships and knowledge about the Spirits industry, beer industry and business development programs the company offers.

  • Makes community and business connections promoting the company and spirits programming

Leads bi-monthly sales meetings, develops sales presentations and facilitates meetings to ensure relevant information is presented to all sales team members.

  • Analyzes sales metrics to identify areas of improvement and communicates metrics to sales team to drive and improve performance in market.

  • Models the use of metrics during presentations and coaching to build team member metrics knowledge and skills.

  • Identifies ways to leverage and coach the proper use of applicable performance tools and data to achieve sales goals and customer service levels.

  • Delivers sales presentations and reports in support of business initiatives and programs.

  • Manages annual budget and provides reports as needed.

  • Manages and drives the execution of the annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives.

  • Manages overall business processes to ensure delivery of our goals.

Here's what you must have to be considered for this role...

  • Eight to Ten Years Progressive Sales Leadership Experience

  • Five Plus Years Supervisory Experience; Hiring, Training, Coaching and Performance Management

  • Previous Distribution Business Experience; Strong Understanding of the Beer, Spirits and Beverage Industry

  • Advanced Communication and Relationship Building Skills

  • Strong Presentation Skills

  • Advanced Technology and Data Analysis Skills

Here's what we hope you will have...

  • Diverse Sales Experience in a Variety of Sales Assignments/Sales Functions/Sales Markets

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Business or Other Related Field

  • Previous Merchandising and Category Management Experience

  • WSET II or CSS Certification
