Responsibilities & Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates and treats outpatients at the NeuroRehab and Balance Center located on the Southview Hospital Campus. Experience with neuro patients is essential for this position.

    Main diagnoses treated include Stroke, Parkinson's, MS, ALS, TBI Major tasks and duties include, but are not limited to: direct patient care, consulting with physician and other team members, electronic documentation, continuous quality improvement, clinical education, guest relations, and billing for patient services rendered. May be involved with a full spectrum of neuro patients, including Child, Adult and Geriatric populations

Requirements

  • Graduate from accredited school with a Bachelor and Master's degree in Speech Pathology Must possess or be in the process of acquiring a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist a licensed professional who evaluates and treats patients in accordance with state and national practice acts. In cooperation with the referral source, provides therapy evaluation to determine the extent of the symptoms and/or functional limitations relevant to the diagnosis.

Develops treatment plan that is targeted and adjusted to decrease or eliminate the symptoms and functional limitations. Major tasks and duties include, but are not limited to: direct patient care, day to day patient scheduling, supervision of students, consultation with physicians and other team members, documentation in the electronic medical record, quality assurance and performance improvement(QAPI), clinical education, guest relations, and billing for patient services rendered and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Graduate from accredited school with Masters or Doctorate degree in speech-languge pathology.

Must possess or be in process of acquiring a Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA.

Must be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio.

Responsibilities & Requirements Job Responsibilities The Oncology Clinic RN serves the clinical services of the department by providing primary clinical support to the physicians. The RN administers medication on the order of the physician and completes all other physicians' orders in a timely manner. The RN oversees the duties of LPNs and MAs to assure appropriate patient care. The Oncology Clinic RN is responsible for providing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other interdisciplinary personnel.
