Speech-Language Therapist / Pathologist

Job Description:

Schedule: .80 FTE position; 183 contract days per school year

Available: Commencing with the 2024-2025 school year, the official start date will be August 27, 2024.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver small group and individual services in order to implement student IEP goals and objectives

• Provide evaluation services

• Design, monitor and evaluate evidenced-based interventions and outcomes

• Present information at PPT meetings

• Develop goals/objectives for IEP

• Serve as a professional resource to students, teachers, staff, parents

• Work with support staff to ensure appropriate implementation of IEP

Qualifications:

• Current ASHA certification

• Current CT teaching certification

• Ability to provide both evaluative and therapeutic services

• Experience with providing services to students on the autism spectrum and language-based learning disabilities

• Ability to work a member of team

• Experience in inclusionary and consultation practices

• Knowledge of ABA and behavior principles preferred

• Knowledge of assistive technology/augmentative communication preferred
