Speech-Language Therapist / Pathologist

Job Description:

The Region One School District seeks a dedicated and inspiring Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assitant to provide specialized services to students attending our extended school year program.

Position: Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Job Summary: The SLP will be responsible for providing comprehensive speech and language services to students who qualify for extended year services. The SLP will work collaboratively with educators and other professionals to address the communication needs of students, ensuring they maintain and develop critical skills over the summer break.

Program Dates:

• June 24 - July 19, 2024 (may be extended, if needed)
• Hours: Approximately 10 hours per week. Program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Location: Sharon Center School, 80 Hilltop Road, Sharon, CT

Qualifications:

• Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution

• Current state licensure or certificaiton in Speech-Language Pathology

• Previous experience working with children in a school setting, particularily in special education, is highly desirable.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
