Speech Language Specialist

LOCATION:

Special Education Department QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's Degree in speech and language pathology.

• Valid New Jersey Speech Therapist Certificate or eligibility.

• Experience working with urban children preferred.

• Experience with pre-school children preferred.

DUTIES:

TERMS OF

• Identify and evaluate children with communication and auditory disorders (articulation, fluency, language, voice and hearing). Provide

• appropriate therapies designed to remediate those conditions that adversely affect the child's educational performance.

• Consult with classroom teachers and parents regarding progress and reinforcement activities.

• Plan and manage a program of speech and language services.
