About the Employer We are a unified school district serving more than 16,150 students in grades K -12. We have thirteen elementary schools, four middle schools, two comprehensive high schools, three specialized high schools, two alternative high schools and one K-8 school.

Eligibility is determined via an evaluation and competitive screening/scoring of a candidate's training and experience as demonstrated on the application and responses provided in the supplemental questions. Job Summary BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director Special Education, assist with screening, assessing, and providing therapy to students with a variety of speech and language disabilities; perform a variety of clerical duties in support of speech and language services Schedule activities, prepare charts and records, prepare teaching aids, perform checks and maintenance of equipment, type, and duplicate material for classroom use, and assist with scheduling (SEE ATTACHED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR FULL DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS). CSEA Current Vacancies: 2 - Level 3 (Salary Range 141) Classification Hours/Work Year: 7 hours per day/10 Months (180 Days - Student Attendance Days) CSEA Salary Range 141: Step A $39.27 (Min.) to Step F $50.26 (Max.) The promotional side of the eligibility list shall take precedence when certifying eligibles. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Level 3 - Salary Range 141 : AA degree or completion of 2 year college certification program for Speech/Language Pathologist Assistants and eligible for a State Speech /Language Pathologist Assistant License or possession of a BA degree in Speech and Language Pathology with 80 hours of clinical supervision.

Immediate, direct, or indirect supervision Provide direct treatment Conduct screenings Follow treatment plans Collect data Assist with informal documentation EXAMINATION: The selection process will consist of an application screening for education, and experience. An oral interview exam (weighted 100%) will be conducted.

The date of the oral panel is to be determined. Candidates must achieve a passing score to be placed on the eligibility list for permanent opportunities. Final selection will be made from those who achieve the three highest ranking scores.
