Siskin Center for Developmental Pediatrics is seeking a licensed speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) to join our growing team of dedicated practitioners. SLPA will implement and follow the documented treatment plans or protocols developed by the Speech Language Pathologist. The SLPA will also document patient progress toward meeting established goals and reports this information to the supervising SLP.

Education: An associate's degree in an speech-language pathology assistant program or a bachelor's degree in a speech-language pathology or communication disorders program and successful completion of a minimum of one hundred (100) hours of supervised field work experience or equivalent clinical experience with demonstration of competency in the skills required of an SLPA.

Experience: Requires 1-3 years experience in a pediatric setting.

Preferred experience in a pediatric setting for children with special needs. Must possess specific skills and knowledge of speech-language therapy intervention techniques.

License/ Certification/ Registration: Must maintain a current, unrestricted professional license in the State of TN.

VIEW JOBS 1/7/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-06T00:00 Center for Developmental Pediatrics Therapeutic Role: Autism Evaluation and Social Skills Training We are looking for a passionate and energetic pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team to work with children from 18 months up to 12 years of age. The SLP will be responsible for delivering family-centered care including evaluation services and the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans. The SLP will also be responsible for appropriate documentation and communication with the childs interdisciplinary team. The SLP will also provide clinical supervision for Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA). Qualified candidates will possess the following: Education: MA/MS from accredited school of speech language pathology License/Certification/Registration: Required -- Valid Tennessee license in Speech Pathology Required Experience: Two (2) years of experience working exclusively with the pediatric population and children with autism spectrum disorder and behavioral challenges secondary to communication and social difficulties. Interest in autism evaluation, social skills and, an interdisciplinary approach to evaluation and treatment. Preferred Experience: Previous completion of ADOS-2 clinical training and experience with ADOS-2 testing and working within an interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary teams.
