TES Staffing is actively seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist.  This company is New York State’s only pediatric center, helping families successfully transition their infant and young children with special health care needs from the hospital to home and support their healthy development all the way until they enroll in kindergarten. This company is an award-winning center-based program that provides families with a comprehensive blend of coordinated support services to help their children overcome the limitations of their medical conditions and acquire the skills they need to fulfill their developmental, social and educational goals. Children participate daily in the group early educational enrichment programs, receive early intervention therapies on-site, and have all their special health care needs attended to by collaborative and professional teams of special and early education teachers, related therapists and skilled pediatric nurses.
Details and Qualifications:
  • Master’s Degree in designated therapy specialty

  • Must hold current license in New York State

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience

  • Feeding experience preferred

  • OPRA enrollment preferred

  • Monday – Friday- Pay based on experience, $62-$79k
    • Generous PTO – 25 paid holidays, 4 weeks PTO, paid break between Christmas – New Years and 4th of July week.

    Job Description:
    The therapist is responsible for the evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and recommendation of services for enrollees. The therapist promotes optimal function and engagement in meaningful activities; provides support to families and collaborates with other disciplines as needed in order to address goals and objectives as indicated in each enrollee's IFSP or IEP. In compliance with state and local requirements, each therapist will be responsible for maintaining appropriate documentation regarding enrollee services and subsequent needs.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Evaluates, diagnoses, and manages enrollee impairments and disabilities.
    • Provides therapy services to enrollees and initiates referrals when appropriate and in accordance with agency procedures.
    • Conducts screenings of enrollees at regular intervals to determine need for interventions/treatment.
    • Evaluates enrollees to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation. Conducts specialized evaluations as indicated.
    • Obtains appropriate physician’s orders/documentation for treatment.
    • Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to enrollees, families, and other team members.
    • Develops, coordinates, and implements treatment plans with enrollees, family and other team embers, by identifying a target list, including short- and long-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals.
    • Assesses the need and makes recommendations for assistive devices, orthotics and positioning, and follows up as needed.
    • Monitors enrollee’s response to intervention and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with plan and physician orders.
    • Develops appropriate home therapies or programming within the community to maintain and enhance the performance of the enrollee in their environment.
    • Documents all results of enrollee’s assessment, treatment, follow-up, and termination of services.
    • Provides in-service education to the members of the enrollee’s care team.
