This position is with a progressive, financially stable Hospital System.

Salary and Benefits

• Hourly Rate- $37.56 - $49.18 depending on experience
• Sign-on Bonus – $15,000 paid out right away

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessment of the assigned patient’s speech-language abilities during spontaneous conversation. Administer objective tests to assess the patient’s communication assets and liabilities.
• Structure and implement individualized patient programs to improve communication abilities.
• Evaluate the patient regularly during treatment and adjust the program as needed to maximize patient progress.
• Document progress in the patient’s chart. Complete notes, charges, discharge notes, and patient communication.
• Consult with the Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine the appropriate placement of potential patients.

Requirements

• Acute Care experience preferred.
• Masters Degree Required
• Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) Licensed in the state of Florida Required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) – Required within 30 dates of start date.
