As a team member at HCR ManorCare your duties may include, but will not be limited to:

  • Evaluate and diagnose any speech, language, communication, and/or swallowing disorders.

  • Build a program to treat any disorders that the patient has been diagnosed with.

  • Provide training and educate the patient and their loved ones on the programs.

  • Required to work professionally with many disciplines to ensure proper treatment for the patient.

  • Work with patients to improve their ability to read and write correctly.

  • Show patients how to pronounce and improve their voice and communication.

Educational Requirements

Education/Licensing Credentialed Graduate of an accredited Speech Therapy program and currently licensed in this state, if required in the state.

Position Requirements

Prior experience in Speech Therapy preferred, but not necessary.

We are seeking Physical Therapist Assistants who are as passionate as we are about ensuring that our patients and residents receive the care and support services they need and deserve. As a team member at HCR ManorCare your duties may include, but will not be limited to: * Assist Physical Therapist in treatment for the patient, and assist them with exercises and performing daily activities. * Interview patients, perform a physical examination, and gain and update and medical history from the patient. * Conduct manual exercises, assist patients in performing activities, such as daily living, functional, and devices to support recovery like crutches/wheelchair. A PTA performs physical therapy programs under the general supervision of a physical therapist unless the state practice is more stringent. Qualifications Experience Prior experience as a PTA preferred, but not necessary. Job Specific Details: This position will consist of working weekend hours and occasional weekday hours if available. Willingness to also assist at our facility in Galesburg if needed is required. Educational Requirements Graduate of accredited two-year Physical Therapy Assistant program and obtained a passing score on the National Physical Therapy Examination or licensed, certified, or registered in accordance with applicable State law.
