Currently we are scheduling interviews for a Speech Language Pathologist in the Greater Boston area. This School district is very supportive and is looking to hire someone as soon as possible for the upcoming school year.

Assignment:

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus!

  • SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow with school experience

  • Master's Degree

  • MA state license

  • BOE Certified

VIEW JOBS 1/24/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-04-23T00:00 Quincy Office; Full-time 40 hours per week POSITION SUMMARY: Reviews all surgical operative notes and medical documentation to ensure complete and accurate diagnosis and procedure coding using ICD 10 and CPT 4 coding classifications systems. Must be knowledgeable of all regulatory coding guidelines. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Code information from the operative report and the surgical encounter form. Reviews and assigns correct codes in accordance with new ICD 10 guidelines, CPT & and CCI guidelines. 2. Identifies and codes principal diagnosis and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT-4 with accuracy using the seventh digit specificity to include laterality. 3. Validates and appends appropriate CPT modifiers for correct billing and reimbursement. 4. Work all coding, claim & charge edits in the applicable work queues. 5. Identifies and codes multiple diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and CPT-4 to ensure that all secondary diagnoses noted by the physicians are supported by the service performed. 6. Adhere to internally established guidelines, policies and procedures as well as externally established policies. 7. Strives to maintain a coding accuracy rate based on internal and external QA reviews. 8. Assists Patient Accounts Reps in clarification of coding and reimbursement issues. 9. Refers coding and system questions to the manager in a timely manner for determination, direction and guideline developments. 10. Participates in coding meetings and educational conferences in order to maintain coding certification.. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) or (CCI) required. Thorough knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, CPT- 4 coding and must be ICD-10 proficient.
